Dhanushkodi is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India.The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath.The town of Dhanushkodi is believed to be the place where Lord Rama had ordered Lord Hanumana to build a bridge which could carry his army across to Sri Lanka, where Demon King Ravana had kept Sita captive. As ordered, Lord Hanuman had obliged and it was here that the Ram Setu was built by the Vanara Sena.

Loved the video, thanks for coming to Tamilnadu. I am digressing here, but let me tell you something about Ravan. Ravan was arrogant and he did kidnap Sita (which was wrong), but he treated Sita with respect (at least in our/my view as a South Indian). he was a great scholar, a great administrator, a great economist. In his rule, Lanka was super prosperous. The same seems to be true now as well :). Others are not blameless in mistreating a woman for cutting the nose keeping quiet in the matter. That teaches us something about our religion and philosophy. we have to imbibe the good in others and reject the bad.
Lastly "If there is no Ravan, there is no Ram", are intertwined.
Ravan was learned and a great warrior. But he was a very bad and cruel person. If you read Valmiki Ramayana you will know that Ravan kidnapped many women, killed their husbands and raped them. That's just a few of the many cruel things that he did. Shri Ram didn't need Ravan to make him great. Shri Ram was already great and had many devotees who were great themselves such as Shri Hanuman. If Maa Sita was not kidnapped Shri Ram would still have been called purushottam and there would still be Ram Rajya (a prosperous and lawful Kingdom unlike Lanka where there was prosperity but the king himself was lawless).
You are just biased in favor of Ravan because he was a King in the south. You should rather be like Vibhishan who would choose Dharma over relations like family, friends, region etc.

Nice video by you. Manish is partly correct. The reason of the waves seen on right side and the calm sea on the left is: The right side is an open sea, while the left side is the creek(also known as part of Palk Strait), which is very shallow. And there only Lord Rama built bridge(Ram Sethu) since the water is shallow hence it will be comparatively calm. The open sea definitely will be rough and choppy.
There is no bridge. It i s a natural phenomenon, not a man made one. Lord Ram is a mythical character, how can Ram Setu be true then. In any case it is called Adam's Bridge.

There is a floating stone used by bagwan Ram while building Ram Sethu in a small temple in Danushkodi you missed it. And it had a railway station which connected Srilankas talaimannar through ferry and the train connecting this station with Chennai is also known as boat mail even today

Quick question---are you sure Dhanuskodi is closed on Sundays? No website mentions about it.
The Arabian Sea is calm and the Bay of Bengal is rough. It's the best place to experience different sea's

Continuously watching your episodes since evening.. this is my 8th episode in a row. Very entertaining and no nonsense shit in between very productive stuff and gaining some knowledge and understanding road conditions for better touring.
And answer for your question is why waves one side is heavy other side is pleasant.
Answer: left hand side Bay of Bengal, right hand side is Arabian Sea. Bay of Bengal is very pleasant and branch is not aggressive as Arabian Sea.

When you hv plan to visit kanyakumari, please go little bit further to Thirparrappu waterfalls and Shiva temple (both at the same place), Patmanabhapuram palace (at Thuckalay)- the farthest place is thriparappu- its around 60 kM from Kanyakumari.
