Not that easy uncle Cha Ze, it's definitely not that easy to visit our Hmong economy here in the U.S. We are stronger than what we used to be with extra precautions and if the Hmong in Vietnam are facing more difficulties in the future to come in Vietnam please open your eyes. Hmong in the world, we will assist your cry. We still can't trust any outsider yet especially with the terrible history with the war in Lao, yet because our beloved father GVP has pass away. Lesson learned from our past.
The older generation should be valued as stewards of Hmong culture, but it is obvious that they do not have a proper grasp current events, geopolitics or economic development. We should not entrust them with our development.
These old warriors are still bitter over the war indeed. It is understandble, but they need to take the high road and accept the olive branch of our former enemies. If Nelson Mandela and Gandhi can forgive their oppressors, we can too.
If we hope to improve the lot of Hmong in S.E. Asia, particularly Laos, we need to forge relationships with our former foes to bridge the gap so that we can have direct influence over their domestic policies.
However, these old warriors are too closed minded and short sighted to truly lead Hmong-Americans into a new era of prosperity.

Yes everyone, the Secret war ended some 38 years ago. There are those Hmong who sided with the pathet lao and those who sided with the US. Those who sided with the pathet lao have normal, peaceful lives in Laos today. But those who sided with the US continue to get persecuted and treated badly in laos till this day. We are welcome Vietnam delegation to Minnesota. You guys don't understand the point of Vietnam delegation's visit to the Hmong in Minnesota.
I don't understand why they say they want to come visit hmong in Minnesota, but then Back out of the schedule meeting and just decided to fly back home after only seeing new York city and the officials. Just seem like they still looked down on hmong people as nothing significance to them. Hence why why they just flew back to Vietnam. How can we as hmong help them and stand next to them and build a friendship if they don't even see hmong as equal. The real question is are they still holding a vendetta against hmong people? It seems like they're the one that is unwilling to build a friendship with hmong.

I would never wish to be Hmong leader. Hmong are like those goats that were led thru green grass hills but when it came time to cross the river...they won't cross, they would just stray out to eat and fill their big tummies along the river bank. The war is history, we have to learn how to play politics too. After all we still have families, relatives living in Laos and Vietnam.
