'Sup everyone, Zach from Mintable reached out and wanted to clear up a few things that I hadn't got entirely right. Here's his message which hopefully makes it a little clearer. (sorry Zach!) Saw the Mintable video and gotta say - thank you! Awesome stuff. You had a few technical errors in the video related to things like gasless minting and other situations. I'd like to help clear that up for you - if you'd like? For example - gasless items do not 'live only on mintable' they are live on the blockchain as soon as you mint them without a transaction, and you never pay any gas fees at all. You mentioned they only live on mintable, and that you''ll pay fees when they sell. Both of these are incorrect - no fees are ever paid by the creator of gasless items, and the items immediately are live on the blockchain and can be transferred or sold, can check ownerOf() and tokenURI(), etc.
Good video but left with a doubt, I leave it here, if you create an nft of a photo in opensea and upload the same photo in another place as a mintable, it would have 2 nft of the same photo, that is, 2 properties of the same photo. What is it worth? what is the exclusivity or real property if the 2s are nft numbered as 1, only in 2 platforms?
Having used different platforms now to mint NFTs, what would be the benefits of choosing one over the other? Can you sell NFTs across different marketplaces/platforms? Can you buy an NFT from one place and sell it on another?
I convinced all my art, movie, photo ,dj friends to Crypto/ Blockchain because of you. They didn't like ordinary crypto language but your style got them. Me too. Thank you. I think you shoukld sell that. Why not It is NFT. I may buy it.
Can you list one NFT on multiple marketplaces? I'm thinking of forking up those gas fees on a Rarible mint, but then also making a duplicate NFT on Mintable for free to increase its exposure...
🤔 imo, it belongs to the photographer. The Photog would have to transfer their full copyright for alterations, distribution & sale without any limitations... ..I’m sure they worked all that out ;)

Nice one :). The thing im still not understanding about NFTs is what is to stop mintable being a bad guy and changing that metadata.
