Garbage Trucks in my Neighborhood

Well with Burrtec officially being Santa Clarita's new hauler I figured Id post some footage from my neighborhood of Waste Management over the years. Burrtecs fleet will consists of mainly Peterbilt 520 Amrep Octos for ASLs and commercial will be Gomez and Newway Front Loaders. Although it's a huge bummer Blue Barrel is no longer gonna be Santa Clarita's hauler it'll be cool to see Burrtec taking over with the fleet they are gonna have. Definitely sad to see WM go, watched a lot of Santa Clarita videos growing up. Still remember watching the old “Garbage Day” videos on my grandmas super laggy old iMac lol

Used to live in Santa Clarita and i would go outside to see the truck come by every Tuesday. When i moved the driver that would do my route gave me a Mack MRU Heil Halfpack model. I miss those days

One more question how many loads and hours these guys do a week. Great video my friend.
I started in 1976 till 2006 First SCA Services then BFI and finished at Western Waste when they got the contract where I was working at. But soon moved over to commercial route in San Fernando valley Ca. 28 years of fun .

the rollout will start tomorrow and last till like August so yeah over time the wm carts will all be gone

If I’m not mistaken, I read they have the contract for commercial waste in the city or unincorporated areas?
Where do you think they’ll send their residential trucks?

Pretty sure they have commercial just for the county portions, and probably send trucks to whatever yards need new trucks probably Simi will get some.

Same thing with thousand oaks , waste management withdrew thousand oaks almost a couple of years after they lost their contract with athens trash services.

I feel kinda excited since Burrtec does get Santa Clarita after Athens took over their riverside contract and probably even the yard. But then even though I have Burrtec, I had wm for quite some time. I also feel sad since this used to be a great company for me, I remember seeing the garbage truck at probably 5 years old coming at around 8 am. I feel like Burrtec has took over every wm area in socal but Baldwin park. Coachella was took, Palm Desert, Indio, Palm Springs, Jurupa valley I think, Mira Loma, and that’s about it probably. See, Burrtec practically got the whole of WM in SoCal
