Thank you! I am so happy to hear you find my videos educational. Homeschooling is a wonderful education choice. 😀 Thank you for watching my videos. I appreciate your lovely comments. You are an encouragement to me 🙂 I look forward to hearing from you again. 😀🎨🖌
I wish I put more thumbs up for you. I'm really not a digital lover not just because I dont have a printer . I absolutely love that you are making beautiful handmade pages. You are the best julie. You really mean it when you say use what you have and thats fantastic.😊❤❤❤❤
@suzyallen1726 aww Suzy, 🥰 You are the best! I like both. Digitals have their place. A kit is a great way to start. Digitals can be very inspirational. DIY has a lovely, organic look. That one of a kind look and feel. Thank you for your faithfulness to my channel. You are a lovely encouragement to me. ❤️❤️❤️
@91004941 That sounds fantastic! 🔥 A lot could be done in that direction. Prayer journal, scripture journal, daily devotions journal, Sunday sermon notes journal. Let me know how it goes! ❤️❤️❤️😃
Oh, I hope so, Robin. 😃 The projects are easy and doable. I want everyone who wants to give watercolor a try, to have some projects that give folks a good feel of the medium. 😃 Maybe you can rope one of your grandchildren to join you in a project. 🙏😉
@dorothymiller8369 Thank you so much for such a lovely compliment. It does my heart such good to know you are painting and enjoying it! ❤️ I started some Christmas projects and I am getting in the holiday spirit in September! 🔔📯🎄 Thank you for watching today. I appreciate your lovely comments. Please keep letting me know how your painting is coming along. 🖌🎨 If you need help? Give A shout! I will do my best. ❤️🩷❤️
Thank you, Margo, I appreciate the kind comment. Are you going to give the watercolor Journal pages a try? I think they are fun. 😀 Thank you for watching today. I am grateful. I look forward to hearing from you again. 🤗❤️😃
Hi Julie, first time here, recommend by youtube. Love what you did today. I also do a bit of art with circles. I just save the tops of different products. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us and have a great weekend. ❤😊
@phyllismarony8948 hello 👋 Welcome to my channel! Circles are so calming, don't you agree. I hope I can see some of your work. I have Facebook. I am under Julie Ann Torrens on Facebook. Thank you for watching today. I wish you a lovely weekend too! 😀⚘️🌷
Thank you, Susan! ❤ It is a fun and easy project. I am working on a writing journal. Do you journal? Or make journals? I look forward to hearing from you again 🌷😃🩷
@@JulieTorrens I do have a journal and love doing creative things in it. This one project of your alone has given me so many ideas and I really appreciate your encouraging approach. I think many of us were burned artistically in our middle school classes and made to feel inept. It’s people like you who are helping me realize that I really don’t have to be perfect, I just need to have fun. Thank you. 😀
Hi Heather! 👋 You will have fun! A great journal page. You must let me know how it goes. 😃 Going to be filming more journaling watercolor pages today. I look forward to hearing from you again. ❤️😃🌷

I ordered my watercolor paper and will be trying a video that I saw recently of yours. It was the flowers with the writing around it. I loved it.. Thank you, Julie for your tutorials. So fun to try new things. P.s. I’m glad you can’t see me right now. 😂

@karver3440 Thank you. You are right. It is another layer of the therapeutic ingredients in journaling. Lots of freedom to make it all your own. Thank you for joining me today. I hope you consider making a few journal pages too. 😃🩷💜
Good morning, Julie. I love this page. I'll do it soon. I'm finishing up the guts of a journal this morning. Then I'll do it. It's muggy here this morning. I can tell in my breathing. My husband's band is playing twice tomorrow. I won't get any crafting done then. Lol. I hope you are doing well. Have a wonderful day. Peace!🌹🌹🌹
Hello Christine, Take it really easy today. The weather sounds brutal. I have been noticing that most of our geese have left for the winter. Last year the geese hung around and we had a very mild season. This year? They are gone. 😲 I think we are in for a cold and snowy winter. ☃️. No matter... YOU take it easy. Thank you for watching today. ❤️
Hi Julie! I did try this one. Not a great first attempt, but I did see improvement! Some great instructions here! And now I know how to lift the paint to get it out of a spot I didn't want it in! Thanks for the video! 💙💛💚
@growfortoday7862 Hello! 👋 I am thrilled you gave this a try! It is not hard, but a few practice runs are common. Thank you so much for watching my video today. Thank you for your comment . Please let me know if you have a Facebook or another place that I could see your work. 😀🩷🪻
@@JulieTorrens I don't have any place to post what I do. I would be to scared to post it to facebook I think, too many people who know me there! LOL. I was thinking about putting it in a gallery on ko-fi or something, not to get donations or anything like that, but just a safe place to post as I learn I guess. I wouldn't know where else I could do something like that though. Any thoughts or ideas? Thank you! 🤗💖💖
@growfortoday7862 Ko-Fi is great! People will be encouraged if you post to your regular social media. They are not looking for perfection. They may get inspired to follow your lead and give it a try too! 😃🎨👍 Do what you are most comfortable with. I have a Ko-Fi page. It is a nice platform. 😃🩷💕
Hi, Julie! What a cute page! I wonder how you're going to approach the blank pages in this journal. Will those be collage pages full of pockets and tuck spots? I'm pretty new to this world of art journals and junk journals, so I'm probably conflating the two in this question lol.
@raisdbywolvz hello! A little bit of the typical places to add items like tags. Mostly, I want to add some extra clever writing spaces. Extra flips and more journaling cards. Maybe a writing board. 🤷🏼♀️ Not too many places just to look at. 😃 What would you like to see in this journal?
@@JulieTorrens Writing spaces. Huh. In a journal? Lol! I'm not a writer of journals even though I've always been drawn to journals. Is that weird? Probably. I'm still trying to explain to a friend the difference between an art journal and a junk journal, and I can't! Um, one's junkier than the other? That's the best I've got. But you did intrigue me with the mention of a writing board. I'm trying to picture what that would look like in a journal.
@raisdbywolvz I do both. I have a collection of art journals and I work in them. Collage, acrylic paintings, markers and other mixed media. I use altered books for art journaling, as well as purchased books that are designed for creating art in. My junk journals are a combination of art pages and journaling pages. You add items in a Junk Journal like tags and cards that can be written on. You have spaces where the Junk Journal owner can add photos or ticket stubs and the like. A writing board is a hard, flat surface that is loose in the Junk Journal. It can be moved so where ever the owner wants to wrote, there is always a flat surface. Not sure if that helps or makes things worse. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
@@JulieTorrens That makes all the sense in the world. Thank you! I mean, I knew junk journals had tags and pockets and cards and such, but I didn't know if art journals did or not. I was choosing not to do that in mine. I see now it was a good choice lol! And the writing board makes sense, too. I googled "writing board in a junk journal" after I replied last night, but it was late so I didn't watch any of the videos that came up, but I have one queued.
"Pleasure of being able to create is the joy." I love that but I have trouble applying it. I feel like just dabbling for myself isn't meaningful enough... that there's not enough purpose.... do you ever feel that way?
Teresa hello 👋, Being in a place where simply working a project to keep in your art journal doesn't feel like enough can mean it is time to grow. Most people don't select an art project that uses supplies or techniques that they have never used before, and they plan on giving that as a gift. There is usually a trial run, or a class, or a series of tutorials before a finished, giveable, or giftable result is at hand. Trying something new is often, for me, something for my art journal. Art is relaxing and entertaining to me. The results are rarely a masterpiece I want to show off in my home or online. I usually learn something about my supplies or me. I hope this helps, even just a little. ❤️🙂
