Likewise. I have the exact PVM that I need to do purity, geometry, and yoke adjustments on and it would be greatly appreciated to know what gloves were used or even all equipment used in the video.
They are just cheap mechanics gloves, not even sure if they provide any protection but the palms are rubber coated. I work on cars too and had a box of these in the garage forever. Probably got them on amazon or a car parts store

Hey there, so my N64 is pretty zoomed in while playing, so do I just get the screws and adjust vertically and horizontally like you did for my KV20TS20 and that's pretty much it? Or is there something else I should put into consideration? Thanks for the video!
Correct me if im wrong but the kv20ts20 is an early 90s set so probably has no on screen adjustments so yes, you would adjust the trim pots for V size, H size, V center, and H center as a starting point and go from there.
@@LameGaming Yeah, but thankfully it actually runs quite well as it is. The issue I'm facing is that I have a 27 inch KV 27-V20 Sony with a yoke that is crooked a bit to the right, so I'm gonna need to adjust the yoke myself. Any advice before I jump in? Kind of scared but the tilt isn't that subtle.
@@pyxelpub8251 If your nervous about doing it while running it can be done while the tv is off, it will just take more time to get it right. Note which way it needs to turn and with tv off make a slight adjustment and then turn on and test. Keep making adjustment untill your happy. I would keep a slight pressure towards the tube to make sure the yoke is seated against the wedges. Dont overtighten the yoke, good luck!
@@LameGaming I'll try to do it with the screen on as that'll make it much easier. Honestly my worry is just I might break something out of ignorance but I'll be careful and do it properly. Do I need to remove the convergence tapes around it or is that fine to leave on? If I do remove them do I need to get new ones or would reapplying the old ones suffice? So in summation, unscrew the yoke just enough to rotate and screw on again, while awaiting your input on the convergence strips. Final question, any idea if the KV 27-V20 has a menu? Its a 97 model and I've seen others from that year have service menus with the remote. Waiting on the remote so I'll let you know if that's a yes or a no if you don't know yourself. And thank you so much for the responses and the patience Lame (feels like an insult, haha).
@@pyxelpub8251 Sorry man, YT had your reply marked as spam for whatever reason so just seen it in YT studio. Leave the convergence strips on. It should have an osd but not sure, I have several similar models but had no time to mess with them yet but I would definitely get the remote off ebay. Its been awhile since you commented- did you ever make the adjustment?
I havent messed with color calibration yet. Im going to be getting a color probe soon and will probably do a vid on color calibrating different models in the not to distant future
So jealous of your geometry and convergence. I have a 1354q, and while the colors look amazing, the geometry and corner convergence is fucked. Even had it serviced by savon Pat. Didn’t help
I can get convergence good in center of screen but torwards edges they seperate a bit but so does convergence on all my other 13-14" pvms so its probably normal. I thought about ordering convergence strips to see if that helps at all. I have a convergence video coming soon that will be easy to follow.
@@LameGaming trust me, the convergence on your pvm is sick. The corner separation on mine is terrible. Have you found an eBay seller making legit convergence strips?

Just got myself a PVM 1344q in mint condition. This video helped me greatly getting the picture on point. Thank you~
Sweet, glad it helped!
Very good and detailed videos. Subscribed. Keep it up!
Whoever thought that years later we’d be using security or heart monitors to game on.
When you adjust the yolk what kind of gloves are you wearing? I don’t have any but my PVM is in need of a yolk adjustment
They are just mechanic gloves.... Dont know if they help or not but made me feel better 🤣

Alright bro. You got me. Is it’s time to send one of those pvms my way. Makes me want to trash everything I got.
🤣🤣🤣
Its going to take me 5 years to calibrate these things because I keep making stupid videos
