The Lakers complaining about not getting calls is like an aging super model complaining that she not longer gets out of speeding tickets by undoing the top button.
They didn't complain about getting calls lol. They got the calls, the calls were just against them. That's a difference. It's one thing not to get countless no calls vs Jokic that turn into fastbreak points, it's another to get the calls taken away after clear review that it was a foul and the biggest call of the game was "marginal" contact on Murray 😂 That not only allowed them to tie it up, but was a horrible shot that was gonna turn into a potential transition bucket that would've put them up 4-5. The exact thing that helped Denver erase a 20 point lead

So because they had the lead we can just disregard every rule, turn a blind eye to terrible calls, and pretend rules don't exist? No one is saying that call is what made the team lose. We're just drawing attention and acknowledging BS calls because something like this could happen on a potential game-winning shot. Imagine if that play with D'Lo never happened and instead AD hit Jamal on the head after the ball was released (the same way D'Lo got hit) and Jamal missed the shot. I guarantee that you and every Nuggets fan in attendance would have wanted a foul called because those are the rules.

It's not about being scared, you double because you're smaller than the Nuggets and it threw off their rhythm. You don't let him bang AD down, who's not a center, to low post because they are getting favorable calls. They never call him for hooking which makes it hard to stop. The moment they stopped doubling they gave AD bs fouls.

as a Celtics fan who’s terrified of the nuggets I think the easiest way to sum this game up is “who’s your daddy” nuggets are fucking TERRIFYING, down 20, bron, ad, and dlo all went off, Murray starts off horrible, jokic just shits out a a damn near 30-20-10 game and Murray turns into literally Jesus Christ in the last few minutes…. I love the Celtics but my god the nuggets are for sure gonna kick our teeth in.
If they do the "Let's shoot 50 threes even when they don't go in" stuff it's going to be ugly some games and a blowout for the celtics other games. It's what your team has signed on for.
Nuggets fan here. You may be overreacting. The Nuggets have to get through a brutal western conference playoffs while the Celtics will waltz through a laughably bad east so the path to the finals will be far, far, far easier for the Celtics. That does make a difference. I think the Nuggets are the better team and will beat the Celtics but you can't ignore how beat up the Nuggets will be going into the finals if they get there.
If Nuggets play like they have been these last couple games, Celtics may have nothing to worry about. Though i do think Jokic is intentionally going as easy on his agitated wrist as possible while still pulling off a win. So that it can be in better shape for harder teams like Boston. As good as his numbers were he doesnt seem to be his normal self to me.

Two, Dervin Ham must manage his players clock appropriately. I noticed Labron getting out to catch breath in both games. Rui who was doing much of the help with the joker was not managed well and that was key to collapse in game two.
Even if they upset the nuggets and win they would have to expend so much energy in the semi finals, conference finals, and finals. This team is not built for that long term. They are gassed.
