Experienced photographers complain that the latest cameras make things too easy. Like having a bokeh button. It's a bit like complaining that people today don't know how to develop film prints and aren't real photographers. Technology is moving fast. If you're getting into photography now you simply don't need to learn how to do things manually that an up to date camera can do automatically. The first D5 came out in 2005.
@@Michael_Odelberth Hands up. Im no expert. But that was over 10 years ago. I bought a Lumix fz300 last week. Its 4k video footage was horrific compared to my gopro 10.
This shows how little you know about photography and Canon's lineup. The Canon EOS 7D came out in November of 2009 and it was video capable. In fact, it was widely used as a film makers video camera for years. The EOS 5D MKIII came out in March of 2012, quite a while after the 7D and its video capabilities were already on the market. Herein lies a problem with TH-cam, you get people on here with their video channels who don't really know what they're talking about and don't take the time to research what they're saying.
Photographers who are tech junkies almost always produce horrible photos.
The Canon 5D Mk.2 was the first stills/video capable camera, not the Mk.3.
People forget that these cameras were top of the line then, and if you can't get a good photo out of them then a new one wont help
100%. The 5D was a dream for all new filmmakers & photographers in the beginning of the DSLR era. (me included)

And the 5D Mark iii came out in 2012, pretty sick?

He is right and you're wrong.
@@trevvrun Do some research, you'll find the 7D quite capable of video.
