    OP needs to go to Court and get a permanent restraining order against the ex. Then she needs to acquire a legal firearm and learn to use it. She also needs to stop letting people into her house when she is alone.

    In the USA, any court of law would fibd that gifts given belong to the recipient, not the gifter. The only exceptions are if the gift was a family heirloom like a wedding ring, watch, or something similar.

    • @bermudabeachbum3582
      @bermudabeachbum3582 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Exactly! He wouldn’t have gotten them back even during the divorce proceedings. They were gifts to the recipient not communal property.

    I’m laughing so hard at the ex,BRUH, how you go from married (to a Boss) to cheating after 6 months of marriage, to asking for a divorce, then coming back to the ex and ask for money to support him and side chick for their baby? The didn’t realize how good he had it until he left OP, what an idiot. Why isn’t the new gf doing something to help financially. But wait I get it, bc he’s so used to OP giving things with love that he doesn’t know how to provide properly and think about the consequences. I hope the ex has triplets

    OP, call the cops and get a restraining order against him. You have divorce papers and I assume that it is pretty obvious that that he had left town and had not mentioned you having his property before he left. Don't even miss with this POS. He is nothing to you anymore. If he actually does try to go further, I bet you could find so receipts and proof of the stuff you gifted him, and maybe even ask for the car back. Get the cops involved and file charges if you have to because it sounds like this is a person you what anywhere near you.

  • @hilarymurray8741
    @hilarymurray8741 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    First story : Absolutely NTA OP. Your ex does not have a leg to stand on legally and you would be well advised to get a restraining order against him. It does sound as though he may have been 'working' with some very dodgy people (drugs?) and had to get away from them quickly. Now he just sounds entitled. You could make a list of all the expensive presents you got him, with any evidence you can gather, and give him a copy to show what he would need to return to you if you were able (and willing) to return his gifts to him. Don't forget his half of the wedding expenses etc., if he did not pay them at the time. Sounds like, one way or another, you have had a narrow escape from a definite no-no of a husband OP. Better luck next time.

  • @rathorclemenger6125
    @rathorclemenger6125 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    OP is NTA. I say this simply because he didn’t ask for the gifts to be returned. Although, I think the Ex is in trouble with debt collectors. Or he’s on D.

    Story 1: OP's ex is in some kind of addiction/drug situation. Get security cameras, flood lights, and a good protection dog. Don't answer the door anymore if you don't know who is outside and ESPECIALLY do not answer the door after dark. Stop meeting up with your ex. Stop responding to his texts or his family and friends. Stop being polite and reasonable with unreasonable, manipulative people. Show your freaking teeth and chase them away. Get a restraining order, threaten to sue for harassment. Don't just lay down for this crap.

  • @PastorRapture
    @PastorRapture ปีที่แล้ว +23

    This is insane because how dose his family justify this asking money from the person who got cheated on then defend a gold diggers actions. They're probably thinking of the baby, but even then that's no excuse.
    Also I find it very weird that their ex gave up after that. But at least he did her a favor by cheating and divorcing so early on so she didn't have to be married to a bum like that any longer.

    Why on Earth are you interested in knowing to what and why he did, what he did, and why waste your time, money, and energy in trying to find or dig the dirt what he was doing. This OP needs to learn to be straight and not beat around the bush.
    If the same scenario had happened to me or most of them reading this comment, I am sure you would kicked his butt out the first time he came back to her house in the middle of the night. I would have told him on the face, if he wanted his gifts back, then he will have to meet my lawyer and not to contact directly.

    *I did listen to another story like this, although that one was more heart breaking than malicious. The OPs husband suddenly asked for a divorce out of the blue weeks after their anniversary, it got stranger when he wanted her to take everything in the divorce they had accumulated over the years together. After the divorce he disappeared from her life until over a year later she got a letter from his mother. It stated that he found out he had terminal cancer & he didn't want her to watch him wasting away, or more likely she would try & get him medical care that would burn through their finances & had cut ties with everyone including his family. His lawyer delivered the letter to his mother after his passing explaining everything, OP did say he knew her too well as she would have given up everything to keep him around as long as possible.*

    Ohhh wait. In some states where cheating is bad during a divorce can be sued for up to like 3 years if you find out in thosev3 years that the divorce was caused because of the cheating. Now that he confessed to cheating for half the marriage and that's why he divorced her she can sue HIM. Imagine suing him and getting the car and half the farm plus the money for the watches lol.plus you can sue the lover who cheated with the spouse so if she played her cards right she could pretty much own that farm.

If she had refused and called the cops on him right then it probably would have ended right there. Then meeting him in his hotel room when knew how irrational he is? Finally letting him into her home AGAIN??? I would guess it probably wouldn’t end there as he hasn’t yet had any consequences for his actions. I am honestly surprised she wasn’t harmed in someway.

    OP should have taken this and made a police report for continued harassment. Can go to her lawyers to get some kind of restraining order. She should quite literally stop letting people who have wronged her/screwed her over, into her house or onto property and just call the cops for trespassing.
    Heck, if you were willing to be petty you might as well blast the whole thing on the internet since clearly they are shameless enough to continue harassing OP even though they were the ones in the wrong here.

    That would be dumb to ask knowing that they're your own gifts that he gave you why would you assume that you have to give back a gift even a court would tell you it is a gift so this is just a stupid post.
    Why is this woman even in contact with this family that's why I don't understand you're so desperate to continue to stay in touch with these people that you're going to sit here and allow this man to walk in your house with his little funky attitude then yell at you and a cafe and get y'all put out then put his family on you and you still talking to this man and his family you got to be really mental to be dealing with this person after all that he put you through.
