Sorry, saw you mentioned about 20kgs at the end. Figure another 2.5kgs for water? Where does all of that put you on the wing loading? Close to the top? You're looking pretty skinny these days but...
@@mylesconnolly2470 Hi Myles, yes close to 20kg on our scales which over-read a little. Then yes, 2-3 litres of water! So pretty much at 110kg which is the top of the weight range. Have to say it and the OXA3 both fly very nicely at that weight
@@TimPentreath sure, that is the point :) Well, im not sure yet where to start, it can be from the eastern part of the Alps until Annecy, have not decided yet :)
@@TimPentreath Thanks Tim, unfortunately, while it’s good for daily hike & fly, my 80 something one is a bit tight for volbiv. Enjoy the rest of your Gumball 😊
@@dellybeanhead Yeah, they're deffo nice to have if it's warm, although I have on accidentally forgotten them on occasion and survived ok (😂) so they're nice to have rather than essential.
I like the thoughtfulness of the dog poo bags. I'm going to remember to video for when I plan my first volbiv adventure.
Thanks Sam 👍🏻
Great video it's like a behind the scenes for us fans. 🌄🕊️
Thanks Kyle, 🤞🏻
Have good adventure Tim. I'm looking foward to watch it here.
Thanks Marco 👍🏻👍🏻
Cool equipment! Waiting for next video. Have a cool adventure!
Saw this a bit late and after a week of packing and unpacking it looked very familiar. Thanks for the adventure Tim.
Cheers Rod, glad you’re having a blast 👍🏻
I will be following you Tim!
Have a great trip Tim!
Thanks Kai!!
Good luck, have fun!
Nice, thanks :)
Go Tim go🤞
Great video Tim!! Do you have the 82 or 92 L Lightpack backpack? Cheers, AirGabor
Thanks, it’s the 91
I reckon you're packing a Lanshan tent, where's your trekking pole?

@@TimPentreath proper tent, mate. I'm lumbering a Tagar 2 around at 1.3kg...
@@MartijnvanGene Haha, no, I’ll stick with mine thanks
What's all of that weigh Tim? How about water? How much do you carry when flying?

@@TimPentreath my volbiv will also start this weekend but im a little worried, that the weather wont be the best in the Alps in general :/
Where are you starting from? I guess the weather is what it is, we just have to make the most of it and fly safely and have fun...

I may have missed it Tim, but what size is your rucksack?
Nope, I forgot to mention it - it’s the 91 litre one

Where's your coffee machine? Essentials first surely.
Sadly I ditched it a few years ago in the interests of saving space and weight - I now bring coffee bags… they’re not the same though…😢
@@TimPentreath And did you use the flip flops?!
I've bought a portable wukako espresso maker. fairly heavy for its compact size but a quality bit of kit.

Electric pump, posh! You will be taking Rhys’ pizza oven next!
I know, crazy!!
