Secondly, I should've emphasized something that you can realize based on what I said but I didn't outright discuss at the end: Chasca C1 guarantees the additional application every CA when playing dendro with her, but you can optimize around RNG to get 3 bullets to make Chasca C0 work in a similar way. It is just quite a bit more inconsistent and less satisfying due to it. I got a 47s clear after editing this video on my main account with Chasca on a normal build with Emilie. C1 Chasca's guaranteed additional dmg multiplier from 4 converted bullets instead of 2-3 also really helps smooth things out, so its that and the lower rng that I felt, and the fact that it was hard to evaluate the relevance of 4pc VV on the weird build I was running (which I also don't have a way to test on my main account because my VV EM pieces are hot trash). So I don't think it is necessary to have C1 to do this stuff, basically, but its hard to tell, and calcing the value of EM on Chasca with her weird rng is odd too--I feel I have to playtest things, but it is impossible to draw a 1:1 comparison between two different Genshin accounts with different builds available. There's a ton of different potential minor variables affecting exactly what you saw with Chasca C1 in this video, all in all. I didn't draw any conclusion past C1 making more of a difference than I expected because it was outside of the scope of the video. One annoying factor that really affects ability to test things in game right now is the Abyss blessing, which I had forgotten about. There is also a ton more teams I could've tested, but I knew the video was already gonna be fairly long. Ultimately my goal was to test building Chasca with EM to see what happened, and the results were interesting. She is a really really weird character to test different variables considering her inherent RNG with elemental bullets, and C1 giving more application makes her even weirder to think about. Right now I feel Chasca C1 makes a fairly significant difference to the ability to use her, but it requires more play-testing. Figuring out nuances is an investigation for another day, I suppose.
i did read it. also, because of this video, i came up with | C0 Chasca>Mona>Nahida>Bennett | comp and I love it! I dont share supports so my Furina will be sticking to my Xiao team. So finding this weird yet effective team from this video is helpful! Thanks!
C1 only buffs the bullet gain chance but not the dmg bonus to the special bullets, so you'd only get 33?% dmg buff with 2 swirlable elements even with c1, instead of the max 65% when you have 3 different elements. This is only fixed with c2.
Hoyo making a character that does alot of damage of elements other then her’s gives me hope that they can make a harbinger that can use both their elements in gameplay
Talking about 4* acquisition: I have a C1 Chasca but only a C0 Ororon. I can't complain as such but it's still ridiculous when you get cons on the limited 5* of the banner before you get another copy of one of the featured 4* characters. Will probably keep wishing with what I'll get until the banner ends to see if I'll at least get a C1 Ororon... at this point though, I wouldn't be surprised if I got another Chasca instead lol

Yeah, I can't complain *too* much since my c1 Chasca was the result of a lot of luck, but it's still pretty silly that I got two Chascas in 90 pulls and *barely* managed to get a copy of Ororon at the end.
It's the same situation as with me, when I got Wanderer, Itto, returned my guarantee and reached soft pity before a got even 1 Faruzan or Gorou. But A LOT of Yanfeis
I really, really like Chasca. Probabbly one of my favourite new releases since Furina. I was also wondering about EM given my Chasca had none at the moment. Will definitely give it a try once I actually get some decent pieces.
I'm so happy I used my guarantee on Chasca's c0 tbh. She's just a whole lot of fun even with her restrictions, for me anyway. I decided to skip Mavuika, since she's guaranteed a rerun soon enough, and go for Citlali/Capitano/any and every other cryo unit that shows up because Mihoyo likes keeping them locked behind bars. Shenhe is the one I want most tbh, as she's the main reason I started to like and get into Genshin's story, but Wriothesley, Ganyu and Eula are also on my list. I just want all the cryos. Then I can work on getting other elements lol.

Justice for the cryo units 😭I have to count myself lucky since I barely managed to get Shenhe on her last rerun and Wriothesley on his release. They're so much fun to play imo (Shenhe I play a funny freeze team with Xingqiu, Kaeya, and Heizou, and Wriothesley I play Burn Melt with Emilie, Bennett, and Dehya).
Chasca is surprising in how complex and flexible her teambuilding options can get, and I feel like you're definitely not alone in underestimating her C1. Mine is C1 and it makes SUCH a huge difference in what teams you can viably place her in even with the remaining penalty that gets removed with C2. I'd absolutely recommend it over her signature just because of how much it seems to unlock her potential options.
I’ve seen a lot of people say that C1 is not worth it but I don’t know how to feel about it, my Chasca is C0 and dealing 40k damage per bullet, 4 bullets deal 160k damage, by the end of the skill it’s about 640k, one more bullet would make her damage go up by 40k and she would hit 800k in a full rotation. Increasing 160k damage on full rotation is way better than most first constellations from other 5 star characters. It’s more worth it than it seems.
@@starpeep5769 My Chasca is using 4 piece Obsidian Codex with 43% Crit Rate (the artifact set make it go to 83%) and 279% Crit Damage, for weapon she's using The First Great Magic. The team is Kokomi, Ororon and Bennett for Electro Charge reactions and for big damage I use Rosaria, Kujou Sara (C6) and Bennett. She's level 90, Elemental Skill level 8.
really helpful video just to see what else i COULD be doing with her. i went all in (c6r1) full crit with minor EM rolls & it seems like her highest potential damage is generally furina, benny, & xilonen. it’s worth noting my furina is c0 but benny & xilo are both c6 with xilo holding r1 patrol song. xilonen holding cinder with c4 and 4k def does a lot for NA damage. just leaving this here for anyone with c2+! it’s a shame the elemental reaction buff didn’t do a lot for her
IDK maybe it's because I downright refuse to use Bennet (in 4 years I have NEVER used him, and yes I can 36 star abyss), I've had a fun time experimenting with a bunch of different teams at c0. Shenhe, Seigwinne, and Charlotte have been some of my favorite to pair with her in some freeze and taser teams. I think the best way to experiment is to take Bennet out of the picture since it seems everyone and their grandma just throws him on their team without a second thought.
True, i'm trying to stay away from circle impact :D If you have Chevy (c6 even better) she's very good replacement imo. With Ororon the overload is juicy and sorta works like aoe (if you don't have c2).
While I absolutely agree that people obsess with trying to force Benny into any and every team. I feel it’s kinda ironic to claim that’s it’s better to do the opposite, purposely going out of the way to avoid using Bennett feels like the same exact problem but in the opposite direction Use him where he slots in comfortably and switch him out when he doesn’t work. Feels like the most mature and logical way to use him (and every character really)
please, try your best atk% hat, it may be better. seriously, Ive been getting better results with my mualani using a hp% hat while having less crit dmg overall by pure better scaling lol, its so funny to see a 50/200 build losing to a 50/147 build
In the same vibe as this video, I built my Ororon with 500 em in my kinich team with thoma and Bennet. I love this comp in AOE, the overload that prok everytime the ball bounces is just amazing. Also kinich enjoys a lot the scroll set and the heigher multiplier given by nightsoul burst... Anyway, I love Emilie still but this comp is a nice discovery for aoe content...
Last time i enjoyed character fighting this much was Navia. I see a pattern. No regrets whatsoever. Chasca is 9/10 (go to desert abyss herald boss and try breaking elemental crystals with charged attack and you will understand why only 9/10, doing fast anemo shots is the only option). But she feels amazing against flying enemyes or someone as moving as Magu kenki. I also loved that she can see Dorito while invisible. So in Chasca+ Nahida+ electro+ another element every combination except overload works to make it visible (i assume that's because fire applies faster and then electro does not react with the mob itself, only with pyro?)
Buyers beware: read the abyss blessing and know there are floor 12 buffs now. If your question is how does x do so much damage, always suspect the abyss.
I’ve been playing around with cinder city chasca on my account. Surprisingly good for an all rounder dmg dealer and self buffer build. Especially with furina.
When you realise you lose 30% damage from chasca's bullet trick passive by running 2 diffrent elements instead of 3 c1 chasca becomes alot less fun, c2 funnily enough is the thing that gives her back the damage
Imo its not that significant lose the dmg bonus compared to the extra bullets C1 is giving. C2 is more significant for giving her AoE. I basically feel theres two perspectives on C1: Either you just see it as making her good C0 teams stronger (5 converted bullets instead of 4 and an extra reaction from it) Or it can give her 4 elemental bullets like at C0, but with 2 PECH units instead of 3, with minor loss of dmg bonus. Chascas dmg output would be pretty similar to C0 here, so still worse than her best teams, but with more compelling team variety.
Personally i just find the idea of bringing a character a constalation and losing a part of her built in passive/damage a joke, they're basically trying to force your hand at that point to get c2
It's definitely not a negligible penalty, but I do feel like it's less significant than the raw numbers suggest and can easily be matched or overcome by the team comp flexibility c1 unlocks.
As the person above me said, i feel like being able to have more flexible teams could make up for that difference for example xilonen and cinder set on xilonen should make up for the most part
If you put up a poll, I'd vote no don't C1 your Chasca because at least from my testing, the elemental reactions are so infrequent even with a C1+ Chasca that it will get boring after one stream or video. The numbers look fun, but there isn't anything more interesting happening to the enemies, at least if you compare it to a Sucrose, Heizou, or on-field Faruzan soup team that spams the reactions enough that you have Electrocharges and Overloads causing stun and knockback. (I don't think Chasca's reactions are going to stun anything heavier than a Sumeru fungus.) 25:51 I tried with a C3R1 Chasca (although only C1 and 2 are relevant), and at least for Nahida comps, I couldn't get anything satisfying for reactions at least in the single target challenge of Abyss. With C3R1 Chasca, C0 Nahida, C6 Bennett, C1 Furina, it was all spoiled since Nahida applies too many units of Dendro, so I went through a whole rotation without a single burgeon by Chasca. (Bennett was the one burgeoning.) The enemy spent most of its time just burning, and since it was the Consecrated Beast moving around a lot, even if I triggered a bloom core, it would be out of range by the next time Chasca's volley went off.

Im surprised you couldnt trigger burgeon more consistently due to burning happening (which Chasca could trigger pyro swirls on to trigger) But yeah, I did realize that C1 is still going to be inconsistent. Its just way more consistent than C0, so I dunno. At this point I think I will decide based on what we see from Mavuikas kit over the next couple weeks
She does really great dmg and pretty much makes exploration easy even outside of Natlan, I went back to fontaine to start my mavuika grind and she just skip tons of things on land same with sumeru probably the SSS tier of exploration (great dps, fast travels/skip travels, anemo bow)
when we get a cinder city holder with elemental shred chasca's going to turn into an absolute monster. i love how at a baseline she already has so many stats you can just run doodoo water artifacts and she'd still clear 🤤🤤🤤
So I think my Chasca is weird. I've been running Shimmy on her for the charge atk bonus since I got some solid stats on it and using a cryo resonance team. My weapon is currently Ibis Piercer because I assume the attack main stat would be fine and the reactions would gain a bonus from the EM. I'm still going for her signature. I hate that the Amos Bow doesn't work with her
I found that she is much better with a HydroPyroCryo team or a HydroPyroEelectro team, I think the first variation is better as you proc melt and vape so you get occasional big damage. PyroCryoElectro and HydroCryoElectro are noticeably a lot worse.
i use instructor bennett in double pyro team for her which is weaker against normal enemies but stronger against tulpa which is in this abyss so its a fun optimization that does have a best case use!
same but when I know many people decide to skip I just tried it bcs somehow my luck increasing like crazy 🤣 kazuha in 1.6, emilie,and chasca all done in 10 pull.
should spend another hundred and get C1 chasca! I'm a returning player and I splurged on Chasca to be my new main character. Got her, her bow, then boosted her to C2 bay bay! yeah she slaps. and I only wince every now and then about how much I spent! lol oh yeah but wait though. apparently her drop rates are going to be greatly increased on December 10th for some event. I may go for c2 or c4 then. or who knows! maybe all the way to c6 if it's not going to cost me 1,000
She's so similar to raiden in term of build flexibility. She can become Hypercarry, dps, Driver dps or EM spammer. Though I prefer straightforward DPS build like Arlle, Mualani or Clorinde but she's definitely an interesting unit.
If you don't get C1, you'll play Chasca much less in the future. I for one want to see a diverse array of characters played moving forward, so C1 seems like a no brainer for the future interest and viability of Chasca on your account and for this channel! c:

The fact that the damage is so similar. I wonder if after the artifact changes you abandoned the previous spiral abyss run before starting a new abyss run. If not, you’re locked in with the artifact load out from the initial run
I got her c2 and was thinking to do a Chasca nahida hydro pyro to do a more balanced team, with more aoe demage (her c2 + nahida E + burgeon and bloom)
Ororon/XL/Benny is functional already, and can help with AoE, so yeah it should be decent. Dunno how good exactly though, will probably depend on weapon and artifact quality
U mean if they wanted her to hyper trigger reactions they should have made every bullet count in no?? It would have been a lot more interesting that way but alas she is still amazing imo I don't have her at the moment but will definitely try and get her in the future
Yeah its obvious they wanted her to be inconsistent, but I feel they didnt strike the right balance of inconsistency in her C0 kit. Like her C1 kit is still inconsistent to trigger reactions, but its consistent enough and good enough to play weird things like Emilie with her than its more than functional and very satisfying imo. It technically works but much more inconsistently at C0. I feel they couldve balanced it better, but now we simply must evaluate things as they are. Im glad she has some fun utility at least

I will probably try it, but unfortunately my circlet/goblet/timepiece options in VV are very bad. Like 0 relevant dmg stats from anything other than the off piece. Will still probably try it nonetheless but I cant draw a proper comparison without better artifacts atm
Chasca teammates dictates the type of bullet right, so if i put C6 Kujou Sara + Shenhe, does the electro bullet get buffed by the Bonus Crit DMG? does the cryo bullet get buffed by Icy Quill?
Yes to both. Saras buff uptime is a bit too short to be valuable to her compared to just using Ororon as your electro most of the time though. Regardless not unusable if you optimize around her buff uptime getting more electro bullets. Shenhe just mostly works, with her hold skill giving 7 buffed instances of cryo dmg, which is enough to basically make all of Chasca cryo hits be buffed which is cool
I was originally going to do Faruzan C6 with her, but you cant even do full anemo dmg on Chasca, and her anemo multipliers are very low. It probably wont be dysfunctional but imo its also not that interesting. There is weird syenrgy potential with C1 doing an Anemo on VV and using Chasca on Cinder City though. Eg Chasca/Jean/Furina then a flex slot for a 2nd Pyro electro or cryo off fielder. But I felt the video was long enough and demonstrated the base concept of weird EM builds I had been going for

In the same vibe as this video, I built my Ororon with 500 em in my kinich team with thoma and Bennet. I love this comp in AOE, the overload that prok everytime the ball bounces is just amazing. Also kinich enjoys a lot the scroll set and the heigher multiplier given by nightsoul burst... Anyway, I love Emilie still but this comp is a nice discovery for aoe content...
I need them to rerun Emilie, your teams with her always makes me regret skipping her, especially since I have C1 Chasca
Last time i enjoyed character fighting this much was Navia. I see a pattern. No regrets whatsoever. Chasca is 9/10 (go to desert abyss herald boss and try breaking elemental crystals with charged attack and you will understand why only 9/10, doing fast anemo shots is the only option). But she feels amazing against flying enemyes or someone as moving as Magu kenki.
I also loved that she can see Dorito while invisible. So in Chasca+ Nahida+ electro+ another element every combination except overload works to make it visible (i assume that's because fire applies faster and then electro does not react with the mob itself, only with pyro?)
Buyers beware: read the abyss blessing and know there are floor 12 buffs now. If your question is how does x do so much damage, always suspect the abyss.
I’ve been playing around with cinder city chasca on my account. Surprisingly good for an all rounder dmg dealer and self buffer build. Especially with furina.
When you realise you lose 30% damage from chasca's bullet trick passive by running 2 diffrent elements instead of 3 c1 chasca becomes alot less fun, c2 funnily enough is the thing that gives her back the damage
Imo its not that significant lose the dmg bonus compared to the extra bullets C1 is giving. C2 is more significant for giving her AoE.
I basically feel theres two perspectives on C1:
Either you just see it as making her good C0 teams stronger (5 converted bullets instead of 4 and an extra reaction from it)
Or it can give her 4 elemental bullets like at C0, but with 2 PECH units instead of 3, with minor loss of dmg bonus. Chascas dmg output would be pretty similar to C0 here, so still worse than her best teams, but with more compelling team variety.
Personally i just find the idea of bringing a character a constalation and losing a part of her built in passive/damage a joke, they're basically trying to force your hand at that point to get c2
It's definitely not a negligible penalty, but I do feel like it's less significant than the raw numbers suggest and can easily be matched or overcome by the team comp flexibility c1 unlocks.
As the person above me said, i feel like being able to have more flexible teams could make up for that difference for example xilonen and cinder set on xilonen should make up for the most part
Chasca, Citlali, Benny and Furina will be something wild to see
If you put up a poll, I'd vote no don't C1 your Chasca because at least from my testing, the elemental reactions are so infrequent even with a C1+ Chasca that it will get boring after one stream or video. The numbers look fun, but there isn't anything more interesting happening to the enemies, at least if you compare it to a Sucrose, Heizou, or on-field Faruzan soup team that spams the reactions enough that you have Electrocharges and Overloads causing stun and knockback. (I don't think Chasca's reactions are going to stun anything heavier than a Sumeru fungus.)
25:51 I tried with a C3R1 Chasca (although only C1 and 2 are relevant), and at least for Nahida comps, I couldn't get anything satisfying for reactions at least in the single target challenge of Abyss.
With C3R1 Chasca, C0 Nahida, C6 Bennett, C1 Furina, it was all spoiled since Nahida applies too many units of Dendro, so I went through a whole rotation without a single burgeon by Chasca. (Bennett was the one burgeoning.) The enemy spent most of its time just burning, and since it was the Consecrated Beast moving around a lot, even if I triggered a bloom core, it would be out of range by the next time Chasca's volley went off.
Thanks for the info! Im surprised you couldnt trigger burgeon more consistently due to burning happening (which Chasca could trigger pyro swirls on to trigger)
But yeah, I did realize that C1 is still going to be inconsistent. Its just way more consistent than C0, so I dunno. At this point I think I will decide based on what we see from Mavuikas kit over the next couple weeks
@ The Abyss hydro consecrated beast I tested was probably the worst case scenario for burgeon, but yeah zero burgeons in a rotation was surprising.
She does really great dmg and pretty much makes exploration easy even outside of Natlan, I went back to fontaine to start my mavuika grind and she just skip tons of things on land same with sumeru probably the SSS tier of exploration (great dps, fast travels/skip travels, anemo bow)
when we get a cinder city holder with elemental shred chasca's going to turn into an absolute monster. i love how at a baseline she already has so many stats you can just run doodoo water artifacts and she'd still clear 🤤🤤🤤

It’s a good thing because whatever artifacts you get for her will work. Removes the necessity of months grinding the same domain

So I think my Chasca is weird.
I've been running Shimmy on her for the charge atk bonus since I got some solid stats on it and using a cryo resonance team.
My weapon is currently Ibis Piercer because I assume the attack main stat would be fine and the reactions would gain a bonus from the EM. I'm still going for her signature. I hate that the Amos Bow doesn't work with her

I found that she is much better with a HydroPyroCryo team or a HydroPyroEelectro team, I think the first variation is better as you proc melt and vape so you get occasional big damage. PyroCryoElectro and HydroCryoElectro are noticeably a lot worse.

i use instructor bennett in double pyro team for her which is weaker against normal enemies but stronger against tulpa which is in this abyss so its a fun optimization that does have a best case use!

I'm a returning player and I splurged on Chasca to be my new main character. Got her, her bow, then boosted her to C2 bay bay! yeah she slaps. and I only wince every now and then about how much I spent! lol
oh yeah but wait though. apparently her drop rates are going to be greatly increased on December 10th for some event. I may go for c2 or c4 then. or who knows! maybe all the way to c6 if it's not going to cost me 1,000
She's so similar to raiden in term of build flexibility. She can become Hypercarry, dps, Driver dps or EM spammer.
Though I prefer straightforward DPS build like Arlle, Mualani or Clorinde but she's definitely an interesting unit.
If you don't get C1, you'll play Chasca much less in the future. I for one want to see a diverse array of characters played moving forward, so C1 seems like a no brainer for the future interest and viability of Chasca on your account and for this channel! c:

Ororon/XL/Benny is functional already, and can help with AoE, so yeah it should be decent. Dunno how good exactly though, will probably depend on weapon and artifact quality

Yeah its obvious they wanted her to be inconsistent, but I feel they didnt strike the right balance of inconsistency in her C0 kit. Like her C1 kit is still inconsistent to trigger reactions, but its consistent enough and good enough to play weird things like Emilie with her than its more than functional and very satisfying imo. It technically works but much more inconsistently at C0. I feel they couldve balanced it better, but now we simply must evaluate things as they are. Im glad she has some fun utility at least

furina bennett ganyu seems like the best results for me c0 skyward harp 1/8/6. forward melt and forward vape have less downside when its random.

Think your buffers compensating too much. Like bennet gives a ton of attack, furina gives elemental. So not gonna matter much then
Yeah I said as much, hence why I started messing with different things. Its still interesting that the buffers matter so much here that EM isnt that much worse, and shows its likely a quite valuable substat too

I will probably try it, but unfortunately my circlet/goblet/timepiece options in VV are very bad. Like 0 relevant dmg stats from anything other than the off piece. Will still probably try it nonetheless but I cant draw a proper comparison without better artifacts atm

Chasca teammates dictates the type of bullet right, so if i put C6 Kujou Sara + Shenhe, does the electro bullet get buffed by the Bonus Crit DMG? does the cryo bullet get buffed by Icy Quill?
I have Shenhe and Chasca, I can confirm indeed that the ice bullet gets buffed! And when you melt with it the damage can go very high!
Yes to both. Saras buff uptime is a bit too short to be valuable to her compared to just using Ororon as your electro most of the time though. Regardless not unusable if you optimize around her buff uptime getting more electro bullets.
Shenhe just mostly works, with her hold skill giving 7 buffed instances of cryo dmg, which is enough to basically make all of Chasca cryo hits be buffed which is cool

I was originally going to do Faruzan C6 with her, but you cant even do full anemo dmg on Chasca, and her anemo multipliers are very low. It probably wont be dysfunctional but imo its also not that interesting.
There is weird syenrgy potential with C1 doing an Anemo on VV and using Chasca on Cinder City though. Eg Chasca/Jean/Furina then a flex slot for a 2nd Pyro electro or cryo off fielder. But I felt the video was long enough and demonstrated the base concept of weird EM builds I had been going for
