Friend of mine who bred reigned cow horse horses for about forty years told me something that has stuck with me over the years because it is soooo true and that is: "Good horses aren't cheap, and cheap horses aren't good".
Great Video! May I add a tip? Apparently they are doing Mustang sales/adoptions locally now. (The South in general, Raleigh specifically)…unlike adopting dogs and cats, these horses do need homes, but are absolutely NOT for everyone. Not for most, actually…If you don’t have experience with mustangs, in the best interest of human and horse, you should resist temptation. Only consider if you are VERY experienced with horses, have appropriate facilities, and are skilled in natural horsemanship techniques. I lived for two years on an Arab Farm in Nevada that was adjacent to BLM mustang land. I had the privilege of seeing these horses “in the wild” on an almost daily basis. I also saw the results when they were adopted by well meaning but unqualified individuals. It rarely ends well.
