In this clip, Logic opened up about his familial situation by first detailing why he considers his godmother to be his real mother. He then discussed the song "Gang Related" and how the striking narrative of his brother selling crack to his father exposed listeners to what would drive someone to do that. Logic said that his hopes are that a child in similar circumstances can listen to his music and find strength.
In this clip, Logic recalled when he began taking rap serous. He talked about wanting to pursue skateboarding but realized early on that he was much better at making music than he was on a skateboard.
Logic also detailed being homeschooled for three years between 5th and 8th grade. However, Logic said he didn't learn anything because his homeschool teacher - his mother - neglected his education for the duration of his homeschooling.
