Very pretty. Sorrowful yet with a note of hope for things to come and wonder for the mystery of the world. I imagine this playing during the opening sequence of a fantasy film in which a narrator explains the backstory.
This song is so wired, it mekes me feel wierd. I hadn't been born when Kirby 64 came out but I played it when I was a kid, so it feels wrong that it gives me so much nostalgia. It reminds me when my brother and I spent days solving those tricky puzzles, but never getting them all; the emptyness of the song makes me feel like if its moking me for never getting all the crystal shards, I did it some time ago yet that feeling of wondering if I'm missing a fraction of the game never left the song, its so sad. For me this song it's stuck in a time where it shouldn't be, so anoying, so frustrating, so calming and so beautiful. Thank you for reminding me of this very unique song, what you did is outstanding
@@XerxesTexasToast No worries friend! You really captured the magical feeling the original version had (the version from Canvas Curse was more artsy to fit the game’s theme)
I’m british and lot of Kirby music reminds me of the British childrens network channel ceebeebeis and this although a remix reminds the most of it very good song and nostalgic.
This is a tough question! I'm very happy with the outcome of both, and I'd say the end products are on a similar level of quality, with Crystals coming out on top by a narrow margin. However, this mix was quite easy for me to make, because I used a MIDI file. All I had to do was drag the tracks around, duplicate them, add more instruments, and so on, and because of that the arrangement is better because I could focus on it more. The Eight Melodies remix was made entirely from scratch, all of the melodies and harmonies were done from memory or original. Because I dragged out each note individually, the arrangement suffers a bit because I burned out sooner. I'd say I'm more proud of Eight Melodies' production process, while my pride for Crystals is in the final product.
I love this rendition.
This sounds just like a lullaby you would sing in a cozy winter night.
Mission accomplished

Thank you! It really does have a sense of beginnings, which is really appropriate for a remix of a song that plays over a file select menu.
You have a knack for writing.
A time you once thought would last forever.
I have no words... Only an unreplicable smile.
This helped with my panic attack thank you
dude I'm gonna cry, I'm so glad my work could do that for you 🥺
Kirby 64 will be my memorable favourite game of all time because i seriously love him
Somehow the most unsettling and peaceful song I have ever heard
peace , kirby , crystals...
This should be a Kirby movie credits theme.
This is a lovely remix, that’s all fine and good, but I just saw the name _“XerxesTexasToast”_ and, well, how could I *not* watch this?
This just hit me with such a harsh wave of nostalgia, i know it's been 4 years since this was made but thank you

When I first heard this song, I was reminded of the main menu music for Ocarina of Time.
Well, it is menu music from an N64 game!
someone mixed the two :)
playing this for my kids, or putting this in a music box
Bro this in a music box would be SO PRETTY!!!!
Kirby 64 was my very first kirby game

this should be from Final Fantasy, or Tales, or some other grand, fantastical JRPG. but no: it's from pink round boi game. Absolutely beautiful
Oh i love this

Reminds me of Milky Way Wishes...title theme.
The old Kirby title and menu themes did all have a similar feel, didn't they?
@@XerxesTexasToast Indeed, I like how you did this one, such a calm and lilting sense of serenity, behind this marvelous masterpiece.

Which of the remixes are you more proud of? The 8 melodies one, or this one?

Less creepy than the original. It must be the instrument there.

Do you still have the file for this song or a SoundCloud to upload this to?
I think this is my new favorite version of this song.
