    UPDATE: 6/14/2022: I have been using this for 2 months now and it does great on slicing onions and potatoes. The very small slicer does not work. You also have to slice your onion and potato in half before using this kitchen appliance. I do not recommend this if you have arthritis or limit mobility in your wrist and hand. It does not stick to your counter top but it does do the job. it slices everything evenly and would be great for salads, or plate decorations. Its still worth the buy if you can get it on sale.

    The onions outer layers, and stem portion are very tough and no chopper will cut that part easily. Also, if the item overlaps onto the plastic area outside the cutting blade that will hold the chopper from closing /cutting. If the piece you're chopping fits within the metal area, this thing should slice like butter.

  • @dianajarmann1943

    I just used the small chopper to dice an onion. I cut the onion into 3rds and it was easy to push through. It is still much faster and a lot less tears.

  • @CathyJohnson-e7y

    I bought this because I had just had surgery on my thumb and could not hold a knife safely to cut an onion. You definitely have to clean the before. You cut it in half and then place it on the slicer. Be careful not to have any onion hanging over onto the green part of the slicer. It worked really well for me because I was able to push down with one hand while holding onto the other end. When chopping bell peppers I cut them in half clean them and cut them in for in order for them to fit onto the slicer and not have any part hanging over.

  • @bridgethalm324
    @bridgethalm324 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I have been using this for a month now and its perfect. I recommend that for tomatoes cut the into halves with the open side facing down and for onions and bell peppers cut them into halves and then in quarters and you get it perfect and enjoy your slicer.

  • @dhamilton201
    @dhamilton201 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Using the dicer, I've only used it once to make some Pico, with purple onion, tomato and jalapeños topped off with lime juice.
    Quickly figured out if you bring the lid down firm and hard, with slight smack from the butt of your hand, it punches whatever you have on it through a lot cleaner. Plus don't put giant pieces on it...pieces that only cover up to ⅔ of the blade plate works good.

    You need to slice veggies to properly fit with in the square, it's not meant to slice whole items. Also, when slicing skin needs to be down towards blade.. I love this little handy dandy gadget!!! It cuts the time in half.. literally!!! Hope this helps!

      Honey pie you can be a cook and not know how to use this thing, especially if you’re use to cutting your veggies with a knife. This cheap ass component is for lazy people who don’t want to put in the work in cutting their own food up. Sorry but not sorry. I gave my opinion. I gave mines away because it was not useful. By time I cut my veggies I could of sliced it with my knives rather than using this crap. And Then you have to soak the parts in hot water just to get the access veggies from the blades which is sharp af! 🤔😳🥵😮‍💨🙄 nope! I rather not, but good luck! 👍🏾🍀

      I find that an electric food processor/slicer
      would be more convenient and easier to use then this thing. But I would recommend this slicer for camping or off grid living. That is my opinion. Glad you like yours. Everyone has a right to speak their opinion and this video is mines.

I sliced my onions in small rounds about a half inch in diameter and still not able to get good dicing. The potatoes? Well, forget that! I will not be using this one, it was a wasted purchase. I need something that is a much more efficient multi dicer for meal prep.

It does not have suction cups at the bottom to prevent the slicer from moving.
