Lol,,, Jello wizard! :) 1. It generally has to be cold - fridge temp ( I had to pack this thing out in the bath with loads of ice surrounding it for about 15hrs) 2. If you add too much water than it says to it will be harder to set 3. Are you leaving it long enough to set. Think different brands take different times.
