it's not bad, at worst it's a generic police procedural.....but the question is, is that good enough? there are hundreds of shows worth watching nowadays, so it can start to seem like the only pull is the batman gimmick at times.
Cameron Monaghan is a million times better then Jared Leto. His version in suicide squad just wasn't good I didn't feel he was the joker. Cameron has it down to a T.
I don't get the one pretty common "negative" point people have about Gotham: "No Batman, he's a kid but all the rogues come in" ... well, yeah, it's an elseworld story and I think it works really well how they do it. While in pretty much any other medium so far Batman inspires/creates the villains in some way it's the opposite here. The villains existing motivate Bruce to become a hero, I personally think that's pretty cool.
Jokers best scene was probably his introduction when it was revealed he killed his mom and penguin's was when he killed Sal Maroni's guy saying how his greates passion has become his greatest weakness. I really hope Jerome and Penguin one day in the show
That scene were bruce was about to kill him and saw his face in the mirror before he did just shows you that in bruce's perspective if he kills someone no matter the reason he is just as terrible as that person is. Which is honestly a good explanation on why batman doesn't kill unlike the new 52 explanation where he said he doesn't kill joker cause he's worried that if he does someone much more worse will come along the line.
@@FrankRobinsonGillis54 Season One isn't bad, it's more realistic. that's why i never watched it. I prefer outlandish and fun characters like this Joker. So is your problem that they shouldn't be around yet or that they should be grounded and serious like the Nolan universe or Jeremiah to some extent?
It's a 3 episode arc! it starts at 3x12! I really recommend it, especially the episode called "The gentle art of making enemies" the joker vs batman face off is awesome
The moment with the Joker and Bruce Wayne in the mirror room really reminded me of The Dark Knight Returns. I already saw the winter finale for Gotham and that mirror room scene was by far one of my favorite, I really felt that Cameron was truly the Joker in those scenes.
That was sort of the selling point for the show but its supposed to be focused on James Gordon though. Although I think towards the end of this season and future seasons, it will focus just as much on Bruce Wayne as it does Gordon.
Maniacal Laugh! I think the fact I haven't seen much of the show, and the fact it was focused on Gordan threw me off. There's also the fact I haven't seen Smallville since I was fourteen.
I really love his portrayal of the Joker I really hope that it gets another season to see what's next. The show is definitely getting better with new seasons.
I know Jerome is probably their version of the joker, but before he was revived, the show's crew stated that like the crazy people who followed Jerome's legacy, the real Joker could potentially learn from Jerome as well.
That'd take so much credibility off The Joker. I'd take Jerome as Joker any day. Hell he could've played it on the big screen & I'd be fine with it. Man really nails the character. Gives you the feel that he's actually read a couple of comic books
Dormammu homie you good you just got to know the basics such as knowing who is the penuin , the ridler, bruce etc if there is something you dont know ignore it , you just want to see the joker right?😂
_Antonio Whisperer_ Why are you insulting me? that's pathetic, if a character or a story line that gets incorporated to a show interests me a lot in particular, i have all the rights to join that show for that reason, why are you getting so pissy and hipstery about it? Don't i have the right to watch the show?
I've actually watched episode 12 and loved it, i wasn't lost at all, Cat woman and her mom were interesting, the penguin was GREAT, the Gordon×Capone storyline is nice, Bruce was alright. can't wait to watch episode 13 and you can kiss my ass Antonio.
i honestly only started watching Gotham because of the Jerome hype. after finishing season 1, i actually got more into Penguin. and now i am kinda getting into Ed. you definitely have to catch up dude! all of the cast are soo good in portraying their roles that i don't feel guilty idolizing a freaking lunatics.
If you do decide to catch up on it, keep in mind that Gotham is it's own individual story, it follows what is considered 'canon' sometimes, and other times it doesn't, because it would honestly get really boring to see the same exact story repeated in different forms (Movies, books, comics, cartoons, shows, etc.), Gotham gives you something new while still giving you something familiar. The first season is pretty bland, but important, it's the show's base for the stories of most of the main characters, and the development of each individual personality sprouts from there on out. It definitely gets more action packed as it progresses and would definitely recommend that you keep watching it! Also, the guy who plays Oswald Copplepot, aka The Penguin, is named Robin Lord Taylor
I love Gotham as a whole but there is so many episodes that are pointless and beyond stupid but they are worth sitting through to get some great fucking moments
not to worry. Gotham does start out slow. the episode was friggin amazing though, so many references that I think you'd really really appreciate. love the reaction!
i forone love the fact that in this version its really the joker that made bruce give himself rules and become the batman, it makes it all make sense as to why they are the biggest enemies, i fucking love this shit lol.
you should def watch gotham,... from the start!!! Its really good, all of the other storylines, including penguin, riddler, bruce, selina, etc., are amazing
It starts with Bruce Wayne's parents getting killed. James Gordon is the main character and it's basicly about him trying to figure out who killed Bruce's parents, but we also see a very long detailed origin story of Batman. Throughout the series we also see a lot of iconic characters like The joke, The Riddler, The Penguin, Catwoman, Posion Ivy, Harvey Dent and a whole lot more.
Ok let's get one thing straight! It's true that Jerome wasn't the joker we know in Batman's timeline like later in the story. But he still is at the same time. So is Jeremiah. He specifically quoted he's not just a man, he's an idea, a spirit that's past on to another. So the joker isn't one person. It's a plague. A good plague. Which is why he's on my #1 for favorite super villain.
5:30 I didn't make that connection yet. BUT WAIT TIL YOU SEE SEASON 4. He LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE JIGSAW. Even talks and dresses like a mobster for some reason. Probably to differentiate him from the real Joker.
I liked the first season but the second got really weird. then I watched the first episode of season three and couldn't watch the show anymore. I still think the actor that plays joker in Gotham is incredible at the role
You know I would go and watch this series but I just went to the talkers and had a shot in both arms and blood taken out in my writing hand so I'm not in the best mood to do stuff
I love this show and I think its worth catching up to, but there's ups and downs. When it gets good its fantastic, but sometimes it can be dumb and although the recent episode with Bruce & Jerome was one of the best so far, its weird that theyre trying to make Batman happen when he's still a kid. Its like they're too impatient to wait for him to grow up. I think they should end the show soon and wait a few years until his actor is old enough to actually become Batman, or at least begin his training for it. If they did that, THEN the show would be really incredible.
Bruce is still a kid and Gotham is full of all the enemies he will have to face when he's an adult after years of training. Not too on board with this series.
triggerhappy0404 Season 1 is okay. Season 2 and 3 are incredible. Don't form your opinion of the show based on the 1st season. Like Supergirl. The second season is way better than the 1st
The Next episodes from now there characters "find themselves" The Joker gets sent to the asylum, Bruce continues With the training and carefully finds his way to batman and The Riddler is literally born in the Next episode
they actually do what i wanted in the dark knight with mirrors at an amusement park...i guess i skip just to this season since i havent only watched 4 episodes..i doubt i miss too much until this point
I don't mind a story or timeline. I mind a poor screen writeing. Some stuff should have been made waaaaaaay better because it's based on batman story which can be a whole comicbook universe itself. And yes I know it's not following comicbooks but some villian origins stories could have been passed on like 4 episodes but it only gets 1 one. Yeah I still watch the show. It's not for everyone but I still watch it.
In my opinion if they made jared leto the normal joker not the thug joker he would have been better i think the voice and laugh is in my opinion better from jared.
Shows how much they know about it by saying to a new trealier were he's officially the joker ahzhahahaha just pleas watch the show before makeing those comments
I have no clue why people shit on Gotham, been loving it since Ep1
Same 🙌
it's not bad, at worst it's a generic police procedural.....but the question is, is that good enough? there are hundreds of shows worth watching nowadays, so it can start to seem like the only pull is the batman gimmick at times.
I think people wouldn't hate on Gotham if they just accepted the fact that the show is not centered on Batman. I loved it since episode 1 too!!
They saw it as pointless.
I’ve loved it since Ep1 too.
John Doe Yeah that's actually cool but i'd like to see Bruce's influence the villains too, in some way or another.
Also he’s 16 and joker is 23, so in 20 years when Batman is 30 and joker is 47, people wouldn’t really notice
And plus, it's not about "batman" it's about Jim Gordon
37.... You miss counted.
I'll say at first Gotham is a very slow moving show that is dark but it has such a good plot and story!
but it's also fun. It has style and flair, and aesthetic.
penguin is the best actor and this new joker is second to heath
Who is Hamilton?
Mandy Olsen probably better than heath
We just need a movie with Mark Hamil as Joker, and he'll surpass all the rest.
Season 1 is okay. Season 2 and 3 are incredible.
TJUC123 Season 1 was boring as fuck.
Season 2 was cool.
Season 3 is fucking awsome.
I liked season 1 alot minus Fish and Barbra.
TJUC123 I liked season one more because it was gangsters not comic book villains who should not even be around yet.
@@FrankRobinsonGillis54 Season One isn't bad, it's more realistic. that's why i never watched it. I prefer outlandish and fun characters like this Joker. It's a 3 episode arc! it starts at 3x12! I really recommend it, especially the episode called "The gentle art of making enemies" the joker vs batman face off is awesome
Duda Gomes I think i may just watch those 3 episodes, then I'll see later if i wanna catch up on the whole thing. thanks for the info.
Dormammu you can get a little confused about the whole thing happening with nygma and penguin but you can skip those scenes
Dormammu, I've come to bargain
Duda Gomes I still enjoyed episode 12 a lot, it was good, thank you.
The moment with the Joker and Bruce Wayne in the mirror room really reminded me of The Dark Knight Returns. I already saw the winter finale for Gotham and that mirror room scene was by far one of my favorite, I really felt that Cameron was truly the Joker in those scenes.
I love the multiple ways you can do the "Batman creates the joker or The Joker creates Batman" thing, its great.
It never really occured to me before, but this is the new Smallville...
And that's amazing, and I hope it get as far as Smallville did.
Darkest Night I hope it gets even further, like a whole season of full on Batman (Batman year one style).
Darkest Night I hope there's like 2 seasons of Bruce training and Rasa Ghoul stuff.
Don't. They said the show will end with Bruce putting on the costume for the 1st time.
I really love his portrayal of the Joker I really hope that it gets another season to see what's next. The show is definitely getting better with new seasons.
the guy who played penguin is an amazing actor
Indeed. Robin Lord Taylor.
I hope you start watching the show and if you do well you better hold on to your hat Greg cause you ain't seen nothing yet!
The carnival scene is reminiscent of the Killing Joke with Bruce taking Gordon's place as the one being psychologically tortured.
That glass room thing is straight out of The Drak Knight Returns, they're incorporating awsome elements to this show, intriguing.
''giving an unpopular opinon, jerome is better than leto'' oh darling, its not unpopular.
Congrats on the shmoedown, you guys were GREAT. Exited for the new alliance you guys got in.
I know Jerome is probably their version of the joker, but before he was revived, the show's crew stated that like the crazy people who followed Jerome's legacy, the real Joker could potentially learn from Jerome as well.

And some time ago people said this show was going nowhere. Lol, Jerome is my second fav Joker.
Jerome's already back in arkham after this episode
Power, Knowledge and Time Spoilers (for people who haven't watched).
I love Jerome. He has a laugh like Mark Hamill and has a bit of Ledger in him
Honestly I didn't catch up with gotham just watched the episodes were he appears, great vid man !!
Renato Tapia Martinez I wanna do the same thing, i won't be totally lost right?
Dormammu homie you good you just got to know the basics such as knowing who is the penuin , the ridler, bruce etc if there is something you dont know ignore it , you just want to see the joker right?😂
Dormammu Actually you will miss a lot ...And the people that only watch for Jerome just piss me the fuck off....fucking dumbasses
_Antonio Whisperer_ Why are you insulting me? that's pathetic, if a character or a story line that gets incorporated to a show interests me a lot in particular, i have all the rights to join that show for that reason, why are you getting so pissy and hipstery about it? Im watching this show ONLY for Jerome,he is the best thing in this, actor is doing awesome job.
the creation of joker and batman
Two words to define this trailer
*FUCKING* *AWESOME*
Awesome reaction guys
not to worry. Gotham does start out slow. the episode was friggin amazing though, so many references that I think you'd really really appreciate. love the reaction!
I was waiting for this reaction finallyyyy
Robin Taylor Thomas. I'm crying. That's Jonathan Taylor Thomas, lol
i forone love the fact that in this version its really the joker that made bruce give himself rules and become the batman, it makes it all make sense as to why they are the biggest enemies, i fucking love this shit lol.
Makes Jered Leto look like shit.
The scene where Jerome and Bruce are in the mirror maze is a refrence to the Dark Knight Returns final battle between Batman and Joker.
I never noticed that, I thought the whole episode reminded me "The Killing Joke" but a children version
yea I got lost too I need to re try it I herd this third season is better then the first
you should def watch gotham,... from the start!!! Its really good, all of the other storylines, including penguin, riddler, bruce, selina, etc., are amazing
Yup agreed. I need to start watching Gotham again!
U no what after watching the whole episode and then seeing this trailer, it pretty much covers everything from the episodes.
Thought the same thing, so glad i watched the episode first then saw that clip
If Jerome is this nuts now; imagine how he'll be, once he's grown up
And we get a glimpse of Harleen Quinzel in the season finale :D
Do you guys know when is the 3rd season coming to Netflix?
Arto Nurmilaukas Probabaly when season 4 starts
Rbat280 Y ok thanks
The joker is so crazy awesome in Gotham its ridiculous
Bruce is such a badass now.
Joker knows Bruce is batman but he doesn't care about it
I might be dumb but please tell me what Gotham is about, apparently joker is alive and a lot younger so is Bruce,I'm confused
It starts with Bruce Wayne's parents getting killed. 5:15
you mean heath ledger?
5:30 I didn't make that connection yet. BUT WAIT TIL YOU SEE SEASON 4. He LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE JIGSAW. Even talks and dresses like a mobster for some reason. Probably to differentiate him from the real Joker.
that look legit cool
You should react to some scene with the Joker from episode 13 and 14 like you did before. Would be great
I liked the first season but the second got really weird. then I watched the first episode of season three and couldn't watch the show anymore. I still think the actor that plays joker in Gotham is incredible at the role
You know I would go and watch this series but I just went to the talkers and had a shot in both arms and blood taken out in my writing hand so I'm not in the best mood to do stuff
You look like the other youtuber jaby koay
Did he just call Robin Lord Taylor Robin Taylor Thomas. Dead af.
I love this show and I think its worth catching up to, but there's ups and downs. anybody not from 4 years ago?
Bruce is still a kid and Gotham is full of all the enemies he will have to face when he's an adult after years of training. Not too on board with this series.
M. Strain Jr. Bruce is 16 this season
Malcolm James
That doesn't change what I said though.
M. Strain Jr. villains in the comics were going fine but the fan base wanted hugo
Some of Batman's villains are actually older than him like the Penguin, Hugo Strange, Joker, bane, Mr.Freeze and the ventriloquist...
M. Strain Jr. Duh. Batman won't create the villains. The villains will create Batman.
how have you not seen it???
triggerhappy0404 Season 1 is okay. Season 2 and 3 are incredible. Don't form your opinion of the show based on the 1st season. Like Supergirl. The second season is way better than the 1st
Many shows have ok first seasons and better later seasons so its not how it works all the time.
My favorite jokers (this is my personal opinion)
1. Jack Nicholson
2. Jared ledo
3. Jerome from Gotham
dishonorable mentions
1. heath ledger
If you haven't seen Gotham idk what the fuck you were doing 🙄😂
i want to watch this season 3 from the beginning it's really intresting
The Next episodes from now there characters "find themselves" The Joker gets sent to the asylum, Bruce continues With the training and carefully finds his way to batman and The Riddler is literally born in the Next episode
Shit, have to get back to watching this show.
PropfetMisfit09 Season 1 is okay. Season 2 and 3 are incredible.
WATCH IT IT'S GREAT THE LAST TWO EPISODES WE'RE FREAKING AMAZING THE LAST ONE IS BETTER THO.
you should react to some of the riddler stuff
they actually do what i wanted in the dark knight with mirrors at an amusement park...i guess i skip just to this season since i havent only watched 4 episodes..i doubt i miss too much until this point

Congratulations!! U r the best...but awful on trivia... lol
this episode is out
Robin Taylor Thomas? BOI IF YOU DONT
TheJoshMacugaShow sent me here, are You a fan of flash??
cool
In my opinion if they made jared leto the normal joker not the thug joker he would have been better i think the voice and laugh is in my opinion better from jared.
Does that guy really know his stuff on Batman DC or is he just nitpicking?
Jerome Rulz
No Jerome is the inspiration for the joker
he talks exactly like ledgers joker...
Shows how much they know about it by saying to a new trealier were he's officially the joker ahzhahahaha just pleas watch the show before makeing those comments
Ehh
boop
First!
yeah the show is still trash
