- When it's a tournament played on the world stage and players from all across the globe come to play, there is always a chance of language confusion. That is why the organizers have arranged arbiters from different countries speaking different languages to resolve issues. It was the third round of the FIDE World Cup Youngsters 2024 and Mashrabboeva Munisa (UZB, Unrated) and Gao Anne (CAN, Unrated) were confused during the game regarding resignation. Watch the video to see what happened.

The little boy at the end is the VIP of this video 😅
Lol
Hahaha
The small kids are playing with great difficulty on a set-up for full grown players. They are unable to reach the other end of the board to keep their pieces. Couldnt they be provided with smaller furniture & board? Or, does the rules disallow it?
It is checkmate so black cannot resign. The game is over.
Come on FIDE, hand signals easy - other hand points down: I resign.
other hand makes two fingers horizontal (=): I offer a draw.
Its seems so cute idk 😅
White is ahead. But she is supposed to wait until her opponent resigns.
Why is she extending her hand? I don't get it.
Can anyone explain??
Because she's just a kid...Relaxx !
@@karanarora1468 I know she is.. I'm just trying to understand the situation
@@Gamingrookie72 Instead of waiting for her opponent to resign, She tried to seek the resignation from her opponent ... she doesn't know that she is not supposed to do that because she's just a kid.. & kids make mistakes
@@karanarora1468 ahh you give a pleasant response to him for the same question but you make a rude remark to me..
When black motioned for white to be quiet (she was absent-mindedly bouncing the pen off the pad), white mistook that for a resignation offer.
Don't get it what's the confusion do they not speak the same.language?
obviously not
I can't believe that you expect everyone to speak the same language !!
@@karanarora1468 the same language is chess language !
You can clearly hear one speaking English and one speaking russian
confusion between asians huh
White is miles ahead so guessing she didn't want to resign (actually it's obvious since she continued) so I'm thinking the opponent is her friend or something and she wanted to offer a draw out of sympathy.
Actually, looking at it again, the girl on right shakes her head no, then makes a be quiet gesture, girl on left notices and for some reason thinks her opponent was resigning.
Left girl isn't looking when other girl shakes her head, makes me think a friend was talking to girl on right, she shakes head for no then tells her friend to be quiet with the gesture.
I felt so sad to see the girl in blue cry, but all ended well for her when the confusion was cleared and she converted her advantage.
She better convert it, I mean 4 extra pawns is A LOT
When the girl started crying, for some reason, Kramnik sprung to mind.
Very interesting..
Thats the funniest shir ive heard
12:12 - Very nice :) girls played with big respect!
13:13 - the hero :)
The girl in blue began to tap her pen on the table, and the girl in red hushed her to be silent. The girl in blue thought she resigned, and put forward her hand, GG. But the arbiters made it clear she had misunderstood, so that's why she cried, probably from embarrassment. Then the game continued, although there was an incorrect promotion. This is how I see it, but I could be wrong. How do you interpret it?
I think she cried because they asked if she resigned for reaching out, and she cried because she thought she would lose a game she won because of it. And yes, the promotion was incorrect, she would have to change the pieces and only then touch the clock. If the girl in red called the referee, she would have gained more time on the clock, which wouldn't help at all, but would make the girl in blue cry a little more lol
@@will1555😂😂😂
Yes promotion was wrong
I saw the wrong promotion too. I certainly hope that no one at this age takes issue with that.
Someone needs to caution the kids to never shake a hand ever unless you know exactly 100% whats going on. The language barrier has caused some chaos before. They should teach the kids hand signs for a draw offer at the very least.
No, someone should teach the kids never to follow one of your silly advice
@CyranosaurusChess-jh7td the problem is the kid could try to claim that the other kid accepted a draw and throw a fuss. This stuff happens in kid tournaments all the time
@@reesthomas8467 Yeah it's true, I even know coaches who teach the kids to stick out their hand without saying anything and then pretend they were offering a draw, it's kind of disgusting
@@adifferentusername999 Actually, there is no rule about "shaking hands". But stopping the clock (as the canadian girl does) is MUST NOT DO. She simply stops the clock even it was not here move.
@@rhalleballe She didn't "simply stop the clock"; she stopped the clock to call for an arbiter, which is exactly the correct procedure
@13:20 Sigma Male
😅
😅😅😅
😂😂😂😂 que grosso
9:55 Illegal pawn promotion, Black didn't claim.
Bro , I didn't get u ? What's illegal move in that ? Can u pls explain me ? I am a beginner
@@vikshitdoggyy2844 she pressed the clock without replacing the pawn with piece. The move was not complete. Watch Topalov vs Kasparov famous video in which Topalov lost because of illegal pawn promotion.
@@SaakarChess Correct !! in order for correct promotion you MUST put the promoted piece onto the promotion square BEFORE pressing the clock, failure to do so results in it being classed as an illegal move ! it should also be noted that if a player for example were to pick up the wrong piece and place it on the promotion square and then suddenly changes the piece then this is also a illegal. on top of this another thing players are not allowed to do, is in the case of there being no spare queens, a player cannot place an upside down rook on the square ! if they do this and the upside down rook touches the square then it is a rook regardless of which way it is placed on the promotion square, and cannot be exchanged for a queen if one were to become available. correct procedure in this instance, would be to stop the clock and ask an arbiter for a spare queen before promoting the pawn. 🙂
Yes illegal move, but no big deal, would just add 1 minute on black's clock.
@@dimitrisd.9173in the game it wouldn't change anything, but the girl in blue would cry a little more 😂
Hehe! Cute little girls.. Munisa after check mating raised her hand and told the teacher that I have completed the assigned task 😂
They've been taught by their parents some dirty tricks. It's disgusting. They should not play competitive chess until they can decide for themselves how to end the game.
What???
WHAT
cry = +50 elo
@00:43 Clearly she whatched Netflix show Queen's Gambit because at this point she said: "Here you resing".
The girl in blue was crushing the girl in red. She had no reason to resign whatsoever. The girl in blue seems to have misinterpreted the girl in red's hush sign as her resignation, which would have had a certain sense to it.
13:19 😅
What's wrong with these children, this girl and a boy from the previous video.. Likely everything was already translated here from their conversation, right?! I cannot understand why some children have so bad habbits to knocking the table by the pen and disturbing the opponent as hell.. little Canadian girl just asked her to stop it :( oh, ok, finally I got it... Uzbekistanian girl said the word "resign" not correctly in Russian. She said "I resign" but meant "she resigns".
Uzbek girl didn't understand when Canadian girl shushed at her. And she said "сдаёшься?", which means "are you resigning?", not "I resign". Why are you making her look unsportsmanlike, when it was just a misunderstanding from both sides?
Oh, I see why... Both the boy from a previous video and this girl are ethnically turkic. Saying "Little Canadian girl 😢" and mistaking "Uzbek" for "Uzbekistanian" in the same sentence lol the hypocrisy
@@АнишГири-и2м How ethnicity relates to bad upbringing? Canadian girl behaves correctly like a professional tournament pressumes it. There is no hypocrisy, English is not my first language so It's not a big mistake for me to confuse endings. There is normally only one way to resign - switch off the clock, any other cases are just annoying and tricks to make influence on an opponent's concentration. I hope she would lost the rest games and quit chess.
Something similar happened to me in Japan. My opponent was a piece down in a lost endgame, and made an x symbol with his hand and went to shake my hand...I assumed that meant he was resigning, but he was calling for a draw. Luckily, the arbitrators sided with me....he resigned three moves later.
Why were you playing in Japan
Does japanese players even know how to play chess
Anybody can beat thrm
One of them will become a strong chess player, the other one will try to trick people on TikTok ...
What a disgusting thing to say about a child
How's that disgusting?
@@reesthomas8467
you are not doing any of them, living in Jurassic Park, Cyranosaurus !!!!.
The little brother taunting his sister was so cute, the sister looking back like she's going to hurt him.
( This 👇is why i like watching these kids play 🥰 So adorable😘)
1:45 Why did she start crying 😢
3:40 Queen be like : please leave me😭😅
11:38 Her look towards camera 😚
and the whole game ☺
13:11 Danny Rench's kid
Crocodile tears 😂
los arbitros no ven la posicion? o sea no saben jugar ajedrez !? las blancas tienen 4 peones de ventaja, no hay ninguna confusión!!
The girl did a sign first, so she thought she gave up..... actually the girl didnt see that she did a sign to the kid who walked behind her. @0.38. then she said: okey , and handed out her hand.
Nice one :) - the red/right one didnt take the hand thinking its a draw offer and later she resigned by giving her hand :) lol
A misunderstanding but what adorable little chess players!
So cute wearing blue little girl and for wearing red so humble
its all because of language barrier, good job arbiters
А старуха такая "Ну и что?", а если с этой старухой что нибудь случится, а потом ей такие скажут - "Ну и что?"
the girl in red seems nice to her opponent. She seems comforting her and gave thumbs up to the girl in blue.. 👍👍👍
tiene 4 peones de menos y quizo ganar , no parece ser tan amable , no crees?
Good luck Munisa.🎉🎉🎉
What actually happened here?
A Game of Chess 😛
Girl in blue was absent-mindedly bouncing the pen off her pad and girl in red motioned for her to not make noise. Girl in blue mistook this for a resignation offer and tried to accept it. Girl in red stopped the clock and asked arbiters what she was saying, and more confusion ensued when it sounded like girl in blue was resigning, with girl in red accepting the apparent resignation offer. Girl in blue started crying when it seemed like she was being coerced to resign when she intended to accept a resignation. The game proceeded once the confusion was cleared up.
There was a brief pause later as well when girl in blue missed girl in red's move and asked what it was so she could note down the correct move.
8:11 she should have read the move from her notes
The title make me confused
Great beautiful chess in love and understand
🇺🇿🇺🇿🇺🇿
Hahaha what a game
O professor dessa garota de vermelho tem que ensinar ela desistir!
Why ? Shouldn't we fight till the last pawn ? This what chess is all about.
Mashrabboeva Munisa Won without spending even a minute on clock 🙄
Promoted wrongly tho 🤣
Arbiters fail big time

Congratulations on coming first in the comment section. Congratulations to your whole family. They must be feeling very proud of this achievement.
GOOd keep watching 👍
That is very interesting. You will go far.
So cute 😅😅😅
The chess game normaly for adults, the children are underpresure from parents.
the girl in blue resigned, whats the problem? its on camera
She is winning.
She didn't resign ... She sought the resignation from her opponent ... she doesn't know that she is not supposed to do that because she's just a kid..
@@karanarora1468 Don't trash talk kids. When I was her age, I knew you're not supposed to do that.
@@31redorange08 not everyone is as bright as you
@@karanarora1468 she DID resign. That she doesn't know the rules doesn't exempt her from them. This applies to even GMs.
i think munisa kept resigning/offering a draw but the arbiters were encouraging her to play on? maybe she was tired or sick because it’s very strange she would want to resign a winning game.
I think the blue kid said something to the red kid, red kid interpreted it as a draw offer and extended the hand, blue kid assumed it was a resignation, chaos ensued
