I know most of them might not keep playing Tekken but I hope they do. The way Lily is taking it so seriously and trying to learn at all times, the way Toast pops off and lets his trash talk go wild, the way Sykkuno and Scarra have such a clean gameplay. They are all really fun to watch
All the Tekken players other than Lily & Sykkuno are leaving to the Philippines for a week tomorrow tho. But they all talked about how they want to keep grinding after the trip. Even Aria, Jodi & John are joining now. With new people joining, I’m sure that’ll keep people interested, plus Sajam’s probably going to throw another tourney soon.

Sajam himself has mentioned that he was lowkey jealous that Sykkuno was able to improve this much with this little amount of time... on top of playing other games. There are people who literally play fighting games/Tekken and don't improve that fast. And it's not just because "hE's gOt a ProFFesiOnal coACh". You can be coached until you're blue in the face, ultimately how well you do is still down to the individual ESPECIALLY in fighting games. There is no carrying you can rely on. Kudos to Sykkuno and in fact to EVERYONE in the tournament. This shit is inspiring af and it was a lot of fun too which is the most important part! ❤

Sykkuno just picked up the game fast(as usual lol). And also Toast probably would have done better if he just stuck with Steve. Every time he played Steve he look way more comfortable and was more consistent. Him switching to King half of his game screwed him over.

Calling someone a smurf during a tournament is like calling them a coward because they know they can beat high level players but chose to stay in the low level bracket just so they can win the tournament. It’s just not very sportsmanship like. And I’m not going to name any names but there were a few people who were definitely smurfing in the Sajam tournament.

Can't get annoyed with people who thought he was going to get cooked due to him only playing the game a little. Thankfully he picked up Azucena. I am glad he brought out his main protag energy yesterday.

All the number 3 players are of higher rank than Toast, he is the lowest rank number 3 player out of 6 teams. Number 1 players are orange ranks, Number 2 players are high orange - low red, Number 3 players are high red - purple, and Number 4 are high purple to blue ranks. If Toast was a number 2 player, he should be like 2nd or 3rd best out of 6 teams.
I mean Phi is jokingly called "Choke master" in the Tekken scene lol Dude can beat people like Arslan Ash in pools, but chokes and drowns in pools. Sajam and Tastysteve, even joked about it during the Jwong vs. Phi on Day 1; "The Clutch Master vs. The Choke Master" lol.
PhiDx still doesn't have a solid main imo. Lili is new for him. Against someone like MYK, who has a ton of experience and is a Steve main(bad matchup for Lili), it's not surprising Phidx lost. MYk is also a beast tho
He’s been busy with DSG, otv stuff, planning the trip to the Philippines, etc. He just couldn’t put in the time that others did & they all had 10x hours on him & hit purple. Toast should’ve swapped places with Emily & been in the tier with Lily/Celine/Syd instead. Since they’re all early red ranks like Toast.
Toast picked one of the most difficult character to learn and he was doing great. Steve needs really high execution level and Toast felt that and tried to learn King. If Toast chose Dragunov or Azucena from the start he would have dominated.

Tbf, his opponents were all killers. AfroSenju and Seanic especially are on Demon Time with T8, and Toast held his own even in defeat. The only thing about him that really titled me was his King switch in the last series - that was inexcusable.
Toast should've been on the same bracket as lily but they said they wanted to be teammates that's why toast becomes the fodder for much higher brackets. which literally all of his opponent is better than him and much higher rank with experience so yeah it is a losing battle for him
