That’s why for a lot of them it’s uncomfortable if their partner makes more money than them. It make them feel inadequate, or less of a man.
@@lilacbp3908 True, same for woman. Thats why we see most dramas are about rich male leads ( that own or manage multinationale companies in there 20s) ...with the unmaterielistic female lead. Its how man and woman truly feel or see their ideal partner ( the unmaterielistic and virgin or " never been in a relationship " girlfriend/wife and the very rich, young and handsome guy. This ideal for each partners is why we see the same stéréotype leads over and over again, its also how our society think about and money and relationships in general.
It was not that he felt threatened by her money but he had had enough of her disregard for his opinions and most of the time she shoved her money in his face. The character often did whatever she wanted with the attitude of F*** what other people want what i want matters more, she was childish, careless and spoiled. Regardless of weather she had good intentions for her actions she had a very selfish personality. Through the drama she matures somewhat and he becomes less serious but at this point the breakup was inevitable.
In general maybe...but an increasing number of women are realizing that "marrying up" often leaves you in a vulnerable position, and can be quite stressful. Everyone calling you a gold digger regardless of the truth doesn't help either
