The "jaaaiiiil..." moments occur at 7:58 (intentional) and 23:29 (unintentional), and apparently there used to be one at 14:46 (unintentional) , in case anyone wants to see them -- I mostly wrote this for my own reference.
This has one of the only deaths in the movie I was distraught about, the sheriff father. He was one of the few people to genuinely show heroics in the face of the threat of Jason. Also, I liked the tone of this one, I felt like it was less "jokey" and more just tongue-in-cheek and lighthearted.
This was actually one of the first horror films I saw as a kid, so I hold this movie very close to heart. I actually got to get CJ Graham (the actor who played Jason in this film) to autograph the poster from the documentary His Name Is Jason. He's a really nice guy, and is now a VP at Thunder Valley casino. He's also good friends with Kane Hodder and said that he would love to play as Jason again.
This film is my personal favorite for a couple of reasons. One: it's by far the best in the series. Two: I had the privilege of meeting CJ Graham face to face. He was kind enough to autograph my F13VI DVD. He's just a great guy!
This was the first comment down the list that referred to this particular meme, so I'll add my stamp of approval: Yes, this is the Cinema Snob's greatest invention...which begins at 7:57 btw.
+SerialKillerX Yeah!! Let's smoke weed, have sex, do goofy antics until we are killed by Jason Voorhees(the Santa of Friday The 13th) 🎅🎅🎅 #FridayThe13thPart6 #JasonLives
+Adam Pearce He should just stop reviewing the Friday the 13th series after Jason Takes Manhattan. The series hits rock bottom afterwards with Jason Goes to Hell and the series somehow finds ways to get even worse with the further sequels.
+Adam Pearce Unless he detours with more porn parodies, he will finish all the Friday the 13th movies in September of 2019... Brad's schedule is almost laid out further than Marvel's...
*Sign with Friendliness, sportsmanship, integrity* "Unfortunately Jason has none of these traits, so he's definitely not going home with a badge" lolol
Great job once again Brad! What I really love about your Cinema Snob reviews is that because you actually prepare for your reviews by doing research and because you already know so much of your stuff from having grown up as a fan of B-movie schlock and mainstream films in general, your educated fanboy banters masked under the snarky and snobbish film critic personality really elevate your character's reviews above the rest to something uniquely and cleverly excellent. I hope that made sense lol. If not, I'm pretty much just saying that the reason why John Bloom became so successful and why I'm such a big fan of him and his Joe Bob Briggs character is the same reason why I'm such a big fan of yourself and your Cinema Snob character. Obviously the two characters you guys perform as have totally opposite personalities and the mediums you two perform on force a very different type of presentation but the goal of giving brilliant and entertainingly veiled honest critiques of movies as comedic personas are similarly completely successful.
Sure you have freedom of speech. What you don't have is freedom from the consequences for what you say. People like you who spout on about their rights don't seem to understand that part.
People like you are apathetic, docile & far too willing to trade freedom for the illusion of security. Read up on how America came to be, it wasnt because of people who think or feel the way you do about freedom.
Dustin Ethridge No, I'm not. I just think if you're rude to people you deserve to get punched in the face. And btw I was reading history books when you were still in Elementary School.
Dustin Ethridge Stop trying to seem relevant, edgy and important. You're a loudmouth trying to seem cool on the internet. Everything you have to say I've heard from morons years before you were old enough to use the net trying to do the same thing you are. You're not even original. You're just a wannabe who never was and using big words to seem smart doesn't change that fact. You wouldn't dare to say any of that to someone who was present and you know it.
Dustin Ethridge Yes, just keep on making noise on the net. That's all you can do. You're a loser. you know it. I know it. Everyone here knows it and I have no more interest in talking to a loudmouth who probably contributes nothing to the world except vitriol and insults. Good day.
I think I had the Snob's chair some years back. Well, not the very same one he's sitting in, but a chair in the same line, even down the the rounded wood handrests. It was a damn comfy chair.
One thing that got me about THIS one is that they evidently made NO effort to get an actor who resembled an older version of Correy Feldman to play Tommy Jarvis!
7:16 when I was a kid looking at that back cover in the video store I did literally think the film ended with tommy fighting Jason in a lava lake. Glad someone else called that out.
11:42 - "Jason sure hasn't been missing many meals in that grave." For the record, that's Dan Bradley playing Jason (it is him in all the daylight scenes), and they replaced him with C. J. Graham specifically for that reason.
I actually remember seeing this movie on TV when I was 11 or 12. To this day its the only Jason movie I've ever seen, and perhaps I just didn't get it at the time, so my memory of this movie just kind of languished and became slowly forgotten until today.
They did a mockumentary based on the life of Tommy Jarvis. Not sure if it's Canon but it was on the special features of one of the sets. They stated that Trish did visit him in the institutions and simply gave up on him when it didn't look like he was getting better. It also chronicled what happened between New Beginning and Jason lives.that brought him to somewhat normal. It was really good too. Kinda silly but they loved that character so much.
This one was always my favorite in the series. Does anyone else really like part 5 though? I thought it had the coolest mask design and it's the scariest and most brutal one besides part 2. Really fun movie in my opion. The whole Ray thing never really bothered me though.
Josh Bouman Part 5 is pretty good. I love the crazy mom and her crazy son. It also has some other fun characters. And it has Dudley from Different strokes. I’d rather watch part 5 over all the ones made after part 7. Including Freddy vs. Jason. Freddy vs. Jason wasnt bad, I just prefer 70’s and 80’s horror movies.
Hey I wonder if there's a new Cinema Snob. No not yet... I guess I'll just carry on with my day and go back to the TH-cam homepage and HEY THERE IT IS!
I dig that Brad mentioned the Lloyd cartoon. I have been a huge fan of Legendary-Frog's cartoons since I was like 10 years old. Dang, that was before TH-cam was a thing!
So, assuming that Brad continues to review a Friday the 13th movie every Friday the 13th (and not assuming any stopping point in the series), the schedule for such should go as follows: May '16: The New Blood Jan. '17: Jason Takes Manhattan Oct. '17: Jason Goes to Hell April '18: Jason X July '18: Freddy vs. Jason Sept. '19: Platinum Dunes remake Plus there's supposedly that second reboot, y'know if it ever actually comes out.
Reminds me of that time I saw Jason Voorhees. We was out on Crystal Lake when the water started churning and splashing and then out popped the reanimated rotting corpse of a long dead mongoloid summer camper! You know what happened then? He said "Uh, say, can I have about FEE-FITTY?"
Fun fact: Friday The 13th: VI; Jason Lives was filmed in the same town where the police drama In the Heat Of The Night was (Covington Georgia) using many of the same sites the show used.
"jaaaiiil..."
Dude, where is the Mommy Dearest video? People say it's your best video, but I can't find it anywhere.
+Stoned Gremlin Productions do Jason Takes Manhattan
Isa Thankyou bro. You are the man.
+sleezyastheocean No problem, dude. And I'm a lady, but I appreciate the sentiment. Enjoy the review!
Isa *sister

New headcanon: Jason's eyes have tiny Jasons inside of them that are very angry at eachother, but can't seem to figure out how to kill eachother.
The "jaaaiiiil..." moments occur at 7:58 (intentional) and 23:29 (unintentional), and apparently there used to be one at 14:46 (unintentional) , in case anyone wants to see them -- I mostly wrote this for my own reference.
'Jaaaiiil...' (He's Back! The Man Behind The Mask!)
I love Brad's style of humor, very tongue in cheek, and straight faced ironic sarcastic dry humor.
"Damn. Jason was killed by his own hubris."
Gold.
For some reason the scene of Jason bursting through a door and the kids running away from him screaming made me burst out laughing.
Two Halloweens and a friday the thirteenth within a month of eachother? You just spoil me, Brad.
A Pure Flix slasher film would be amazing
Jesus already killed vampires, why not everybody?
Yeah the movie would be called ‘Devils Triangle.’
"God's Not Dead, But You Are".
Closest we could get would be a faithful Frank Perritti book adaptation.
Saturday The 14th: Jason Goes To Church
Damn. The life-giving power of lightning "strikes" again.
Not once but twice
This has one of the only deaths in the movie I was distraught about, the sheriff father. He was one of the few people to genuinely show heroics in the face of the threat of Jason. Also, I liked the tone of this one, I felt like it was less "jokey" and more just tongue-in-cheek and lighthearted.
+Teep He's also one of the few adults to ever take on Jason.
+Razorgeist
He failed miserably, but he still tried.
Damn straight.
At least one cop survived Jason's wrath in the film by being simply put in a jail cell. Even though he was a jackass.
Was a good attempt though. Kept shooting him and then kept hitting him.
...But you need a chainsaw or explosives to have a chance LOL!
23:18 "Jason isn't just fish bait, but he's sequel bait."
Classic.
Best one in the series. Hands down.
Definitely one of the best. I loved the gothic horror visuals and the comedic approach.
+400KrispyKremes Damn straight. Final Chapter is the 2nd best.
Clay3613 I agree completely.
Always loved this the best too.
+400KrispyKremes
Agreed; The Final Chapter and Jason Lives are my favorites.
This film is my personal favorite for a couple of reasons. One: it's by far the best in the series. Two: I had the privilege of meeting CJ Graham face to face. He was kind enough to autograph my F13VI DVD. He's just a great guy!
Lost it at "Well, looks like one of the campers has reached adulthood!"
The soundtrack was awesome, Alice Cooper's '86 comeback was the soundtrack to this movie which he called "Constrictor". Long Live The Coop!
jail

This was the first comment down the list that referred to this particular meme, so I'll add my stamp of approval: Yes, this is the Cinema Snob's greatest invention...which begins at 7:57 btw.
And it ends with 23:29
One of my favorite entry's in the series. "So, what WERE you gonna be when you grew up?" That line makes me laugh my ass off every time! XD
Its the 30th anniversary for Friday the 13th Part VI Jason Lives! Happy Friday the 13th
+SerialKillerX Yeah!! Let's smoke weed, have sex, do goofy antics until we are killed by Jason Voorhees(the Santa of Friday The 13th) 🎅🎅🎅 #FridayThe13thPart6 #JasonLives
Brandon Stecker haha ya but you are a year too late
I can't wait until 2018 when you'll review Jason X
Haha, well, in the mean time, I think there a good 2-3 Friday the 13's till then
*there is

17:56 : "The scary masked man comes out mostly at night...mostly."

"I repeat.. a surprising amount of people" 😂
The M.P.A.A really gutted these movies ;). Censorship is the real killer in these movies.
Sure you have freedom of speech. What you don't have is freedom from the consequences for what you say. People like you who spout on about their rights don't seem to understand that part.

I want a "God is on Team Jason" t-shirt. And didn't Alien in LA come out like three years after Jason Lives?
+XXXKingofSorrow Strangely I am watching Alien from L.A. in another window now; but yeah one was '86 and Alien from L.A. was '88. Hope I helped! :D
This was always my favorite. Between alice cooper soundtrack and the self awareness, it just kinda felt right. Great job Brad.
Not only was this my favourite friday 13th movie but I don't think I have laughed harder at a snowman joke!
don't worry Snob, I got the Halloween 3 joke.
I think I had the Snob's chair some years back. Well, not the very same one he's sitting in, but a chair in the same line, even down the the rounded wood handrests. It was a damn comfy chair.
Yes this is my favorite Friday the 13th movie
I really hope that all future reviews of Friday the 13ths have that cut into the alice cooper song! It gets me everytime haha
Favorite entry in the series.
Hands down, the Jessie Walsh scream from Nightmare 2 dubbed in with Hoshack's was the funniest bit.
I like the comedy approach
That Rita Miller joke never gets old
Ditto.
I don't know, Jason always seemed very Self reliant.
At 8:50 I was totally trying to think where I seen that actor then it all came back to when Snob cut that scene from ghost. Lol!
"What the fk? We all know Jason is way too street to play James Bond" lol
i love your horror reviews.
Is no one gonna mention the use of the ecstasy of gold at 12:08 and how brilliant that is?
This was filmed in covington Georgia where I live
Wow, and then they started filming the "In the Height of the Night" series there two years later, in '88.
It's okay, Tommy gets his in Freddy vs Jason vs Ash 2
And the scene with him standing on RV 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
God's Not Dead would be a much better movie if Jason showed up and killed everyone.
Especially Kevin Sorbo
What?
Still so far to Jason X. My personal favorite in the series, so I'm looking forward to it being ripped to shreds.
I've been watching these and your Elm Street reviews all night, literally laughing out loud, great fuckin stuff, mate! SUB!
seriously... editing Ecstasy of gold into the Thommy running at the cemetary might be among your top 10 most brlliant ideas
11:42 - "Jason sure hasn't been missing many meals in that grave." For the record, that's Dan Bradley playing Jason (it is him in all the daylight scenes), and they replaced him with C. J. Graham specifically for that reason.
Nice to see your nonchalant about the autographed vhs of one of my favorite slasher films. Most people wouldn't have such class.
I am ashamed to admit I just discovered your series on Friday the 13th and I am loving your sarcastic reviews of them so much!
I actually remember seeing this movie on TV when I was 11 or 12. To this day its the only Jason movie I've ever seen, and perhaps I just didn't get it at the time, so my memory of this movie just kind of languished and became slowly forgotten until today.

16:34 oooh and jason could've made it look like a suicide if he were in japan
So nice that brad gives a shout out to james from dead meat 24:55
Probably my favorite in the series
It's my favourite too
Yay 😊 more angels for Jason 😇😇😇😇😇😷🔪🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
Toooo beeee faaaaiiir, the Sheriff in Part V did question the Mayor whether he oversaw Jason actually get cremated.
This one was always my favorite in the series.

JAIL
Huh
The best film in the franchise, in my opinion.
Addition of the Good, Bad, and Ugly music was *perfection*
Awesome Brad. Always a treat when you go back to Camp Blood.
Best one in the series
it is I reckon
on of my favorites of the series
Hey I wonder if there's a new Cinema Snob. No not yet... I guess I'll just carry on with my day and go back to the TH-cam homepage and HEY THERE IT IS!
2:03 Really though, self awarness kills the fun of any horror/action B movie. Just compare Birdemic with Birdemic 2.
+Turtoi Radu
birdemic 2 was only semi self aware, jame nyguen was still trying to make a legit movie, everyone else was just there for the lolz
Birdemic 1 wasn't even fun...
That reference to The Good The Bad And The Ugly was awesome.
+Stoned Gremlin Productions: "Don't worry about Carl, he'll be taken care of."
That right there, is why I watch your videos. LOL!
Jason is really getting alot of skillpoints to put into polearms, he is almost ready for tonights raid.
24:52 Two Famous Words which inspired and has brought to us on its official TH-cam Channel!
This was the first, and only, Jason movie I have seen. I ended up having to keep the light on in my bedroom for about a week.
I hope you're doing part 7 in May.
21:45--Jason is now played by Big Jim Slade!
Damn this is my favorite of the franchise and i still laughed my ass off. Jason rules
looking forward to the next chapter this May
you like sleep away camp that is one of my favorite horror movies of all time it's a stupid campy classic but I love it
I dig that Brad mentioned the Lloyd cartoon. I have been a huge fan of Legendary-Frog's cartoons since I was like 10 years old. Dang, that was before TH-cam was a thing!
So, assuming that Brad continues to review a Friday the 13th movie every Friday the 13th (and not assuming any stopping point in the series), the schedule for such should go as follows:

April '18: Jason X

Sept. '19: Platinum Dunes remake
Plus there's supposedly that second reboot, y'know if it ever actually comes out.
By the third film, audiences were already cheering for Jason. So this was pretty enjoyable for us.
This was the first Friday movie I'd seen as a kid, and as such, it's my absolute favorite of the franchise.
Great review. This is my second favorite jason film after The Final Chapter.
I thinnk Part VI is the best one out of all of them!
Such a fun movie.
Great review Brad
J A I L
Fun fact: Friday The 13th: VI; Jason Lives was filmed in the same town where the police drama In the Heat Of The Night was (Covington Georgia) using many of the same sites the show used.
2:14 Speaking of Part IV: I can't find the Snob's review of that on this channel.
I love this movie.
Love these Friday the 13th lampoons, keep up the good work.
This is my favorite Jason movie! 😁
My favorite in the series and this video has me rolling lol I love it!
20:07 - The Desert Bluffs community radio station.
"Jason is too street to play James Bond"
HA! I see what you did there.
Where ever the red dot goes... ya bang!!!
nice Cannibal Ferox reference there at 23:00. If you reviewed Ferox, I know it would be hilarious and informative.
5:32-5:42 I am eagerly awaiting the review for THAT film
I agree; it will be September of 2019 by the time you're finished reviewing this series. That is, if you keep it official.
