Both sides have good food and not so good food, it depends on where you go. Yes I agree the curry puffs, chili in SG are not spicy enough, no kick hahaha! As for char siew baos I prefer KL style more dark sauce instead of mostly red colouring type in SG. However Msia food sometimes can be tad too oily/salty etc compared to SG's. So even if they are good, we have to eat very moderately. As for chicken rice do try Boon Tong Kee at Balestier Road. I prefer them to Katong's. At the same time you can go and try the tau sah piah at Loong Fatt (if you like buttery stuff).
After reading what you posted, you are totally clueless about food!!! 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 Not sure why people must compare with Malaysia. Singapore style is Singapore style. Malaysia is Malaysia style. If all chefs and cook can cooked similar style and taste, then the world of cuisine would be so extremely boring.
@@danlovesayu you know why they compare ? Because the Malaysian know that they cannot compete in concrete indicators such as education or economy. So they turn their focus on food to give themselves a false sense of achievement
@@danlovesayu It is natural behaviour to compare same types of food?? Except for hokkien mee which are different dishes but with same names. These are completely different then there's nothing to compare. Even if one is just eating the same type of food from different eateries within the same area, you will still compare which one taste better. Even in Malaysia, different states have different styles of laksa, chee cheong fun etc. They compare amongst themselves too.🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦People can even compare the food in Singapore and Malaysia vs Hong Kong...and why can't they. She is finally consuming real Singapore food. Finally no more atas cafe or restaurants. For your knowledge, Singapore Chicken Rice actually don't serve acar one lar. Hahahaha....this Katong Chicken Rice is ok lar. Decent but certainly nothing to shout about. If you want to find unique chicken rice stalls - there are 4 stalls. 1. Sin Swee Kee is famous for chicken rice balls which is similar to Malacca chicken rice balls. 2. Tian Tian Chicken rice - they are famous for it's unique fragrant rice and boiled chicken. 3. Wee Nam Kee - famous for it's boil chicken and it's probably in the top 5 for best Hainanese Chicken Rice in Singapore. 4. People's Park Hainanese Chicken Rice - famous for it's roasted chicken and char siew with very affordable soups. Yeah only Keng Eng Kee......this is the only place you were spot on. One of the best zhi char restaurant in Singapore.
Around Joo Chiat and Katong area got a lot of good chicken rice (and laksa). Five Star Chicken rice near CMC is also pretty good - they use kampong chicken I think. Very flavourful. Besides that Boon Tong Kee also not bad though franchise and they use a lot of msg I think (always very thirsty after). Although SG chicken rice doesn't typically come with ajar either. There's another good chicken rice stall by marine parade hawker centre the back last corner stall but forgot the name. (next door sells onde onde) If you want to try $2 chicken rice (honestly not worth trying but surprising it still exists; surprisingly good portion but mostly rice) there's a stall that sells it (according to memory) at Marine Parade at a stall near to 7-11 and Parkway Parade direction also corner stall. CMC is special because they bake their own bread and grill their kaya toast on top charcoal although previously bought over by F&B franchiser (when original owner wanted to close down) so likely changed quite a bit.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing them about your Local Food Hunting in Singapore . It's very informative I've never been there to Singapore but you give beautiful ideas of What to Try and What to love Beautifully...
Was there 2 weeks ago & was determined to search out two places & try the food despite the long queues. First was hawker Chan in the Chinatown complex where I had his famous soya noodles with chicken & then I went to the Maxwell centre where I had the famous chicken rice. I sure had the biggest smile on my face after eating all this food
There are many things that can be compared between singapore and malaysia. The various international rankings show that m'sia is way behind s'pore in many areas. This is why m'sians suffer from inferiority complex. So, all m'sians must unite to make m'sia less of a goner.

The question why singapore food more quality? Because there use more of quality spices.quality material to cook. Due to singapore dollar more bigger thn malaysia. Ex...Some taste, tourist wont be able to eat in malaysia.

beo crescent curry rice is a MUST try!
Curry rice, you can try no signboard curry rice @beo cresent. It is the same style, with crispy pork chop !!
Love this kind of local food sharing vlog too🤤🤤
But please don't fight, same name different things. Agree?
Agree🫶🏻

Try Feng Zhen Lor Mee 鳳珍鹵麵 next time but it's a bit far from city. The 178 lor mee cannot represent singapore
Should go 526 hotplate bbq jurong west next time. You won't regret!
I regretted after trying 😂
@@jessicaregina1956 haha whyy?? Maybe the food you eat is not what I said🤣
Welcome to Singapore! Enjoy🤗😻
I was shocked..You have slight resemblance to Isa from StayC XD
Jo, please compare laksa and prawn noodle (please dont compare with Penang style)

Can the locations be listed ??
No
Very cute. Can become K pop idol ❤
Next time you come singapore tell me, I intro you even nicer food you eaten :)
Same. I tried it once, and felt that the whole packet of rice was heavy with curry gravy. I couldn't get the taste of dishes that I'm eating.
Should ask them serve curry sauce separately.
Really like Nasi Kandar..mixed many types of curry sauces on the same plate of rice
Lovely dish...
makes me want to travel there

YAY!! Klang BKT no.1
SG BKT cannot make it
USA BKT always make it

🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍
