Wow. This is gold. How have I worked without this. The single view is going to save sooo much time hunting for sends.. just wow.

it was a mystery to me !
old school despite knowing and working on logic since the Emagic days,
I was doing it like a pirate and with your videos I'm finally starting to understand
    what is "good sound"...
    thank you chris

Awesome, as usual. I knew about the “Single” mode but not the Shift trick, or the Slow Down function. Thanks, Chris!

I've been using Logic for 6 years now and didn't know any of these options. Great addition to my workflow! Thanks!

Wow Chris! I'll be honest, based on the title, I didn't think this would be a hugely important video for me but this is a game changer for sure. I've been getting into analog summing the past year and as a result my routing to my bus channels has gotten more complex. Regardless of color coding or nomenclature on my bus and aux channels it was always a break in my momentum just as you described when searching for an output bus channel. The shift+click alternative is quick and intuitive, thanks Chris!

Another great set of tips, Chris! On physical consoles, I use Sends on Faders all of the time. I don't know why I never thought to look for it in Logic. This will certainly speed up mixing. Thanks!!

I had no idea one could shift click to change the secondary channel in the inspector (or see the associated bus in the mixer). Really helpful to know - thanks!

Having just completed a mixing project last week, and being reminded of the annoying menu that pops up when clicking on a send in the inspector, this “shift-click” feature is a game changer.

The LPX colorizer for the track channels is something to think about! Easy to navigate with track colors! Just cuz every track is grey.. it’s nice to change the theme!

Wow did not know about the slow down feature blew my mind. I came from studio one, Ableton, luna and recently been using logic and love it so when I find anything new I'm like a kid in the candy store. This is all very helpful and like I said the slow mo feature made me jump up lol. Great video Thanks.

Another handful tricks! Thanks! Assigning groups to show/hide channels is also helpful to me. I use a Slate Raven monitor so I don’t know how this would work easily without it (probably keyboard shortcuts), but it is so easy to select just what you want to see or hide this way. 😊

for the Aux send i don't need to hold down the shift key to not make the menu pop up.... i just click on the dial (how much is being sent to that Aux) and it brings up the contnets of the send with out the menu

Great tips here thanks so much for another great video!
However, I do hope a future Logic update brings us a little more flexibility with coloring our tracks and channel strips.
You already see this in most of the other popular DAWs, the entire strip has a translucent color, not just a little strip at the bottom.
Logic has been stuck on this solid grey from top to bottom and it's honestly getting a tad dull to look at.
I think having all my drums a certain color, same with guitar, synths, and so forth, even if it's a subtle hue, would be very welcome.
This being both for the mixer and the arrangement view.

Thumbs up for the sends on faders tip! I still prefer the old way of just single or double clicking on sends or outputs for navigating though. The "three times high light thing" is not as good for identifying routings imo.

I think an even easier way to see what tracks are sending to a bus is to hit "solo" the bus - and then only the tracks that are sending to that bus will stay colored (not greyed out) in the track view. (the regions will stay colored).

Howdy Chris, kevco here in Santa Cruz California. In most other applications they have a star or a heart or some other symbol to like something from your library, is there such an option in logic that I'm missing. I'm a long time subscriber and I a giver of thumbs up..

Why not just use track stacks for each instrument( drums, bass, vocals etc) and normal busses for verbs and delays and other processing? I find that to be very efficient as the bus track on a track stack is immediately to the left of the tracks.

Great video! thank you. Curious if you always use your Stereo Output as your final "2 bus" (where you will put your overall EQ, Comps, etc.) For myself, I have a track called "Mixes" (comp folder of all of the mix versions) routed to the Stereo Output. My Stereo Output has only a Gain plug to check for flip phase. My "2 bus" is actually an Aux with my final EQ, Comp, Lim which everything else routes to before finally routing to the empty (mostly) Stereo Output. This way I can compare my previous mixes to my current mix, section by section, without sending my Mixes track through the final plugins.

My solution? I hardly ever use the mixer. I have it on a second monitor. I do most of my mixing in the arraignment window.
Let’s by honest, we aren’t mixing multiple tracks in real time. We are automating them. I’m perfectly happy to use the volume sliders in the arrangement window. Between that and the Inspector you have everything you need.
I even got a second monitor to get myself to use the mixer more. But I don’t. 😄
