One day, I will get one. I've already planned out all the customized options I want for it. As someone who lived in Chicago for years, I love the way you name your basses.
@@serekbasses I'm thinking of getting the Sacramento because I used to live near Sacramento Ave in Chicago and now I live in Sacramento, CA. The Sacramento looks like it's modeled on a Rick. (I don't know if you can legally answer that haha.)
To me, and I know this isn't what you were going for, but this is a perfect fusion of an EB-0 and a p bass. Really cool. I would like to play one. That's probably not gonna happen any time soon. Oh well
Awesome Jake! Love the bolt-on, contours, vintage bridge, narrow spacing, upper access, and B300ish pickguard. 7.75 lb NICE. I'd love to see a few of these models with chrome knobs to go with the pickup surround and bridge.
I'm not quite there on the aesthetics of your basses, but damn those sounds make me forget. (I do like how this one looks, as well as the Sacramento.) Very nice choice of preamp on the VTDI, too!
I like the look Jake. How fitting that it resembles a Guild w the BS pup.............Sounds the same, but does it have the same amount of sustain w the bolt-on neck? Because other than that I loved EVERYTHING about all your guitars......
@@Zekla I like to be able to hold a note like a guitarist, as well as have an even volume across the neck and up the strings. I don't like a quick trebly staccato like clanky attack even when hammering 16th notes. But to each their own.
I have this bass in white. Sound wise it’s a bit more scooped in the mids with a bit more high frequency extension compared to the Fender Precision Bass which a little more midrange forward.
@@Cap683 Which one do you like better? I'm a long time P bass guy, but these Serek basses just look so good, and significantly cheaper than Fender Custom Shop.
@@57precision If you really want the Fender sound then Curtis Novak makes his BS/DS pickup which is still single coil but with more windings and a hotter tone and Jake told that he now makes a true hum bucker. It would be best to talk to Jake about the sound that you are after.
Nice bass, good tone, but damn pricey and not really offering anything that truly distinguishes it from other basses that are less costly. I know some (maybe many) may not agree, but I'm not a fan of that body style as well. I'll pass, mainly because it's too rich for my blood!

Thanks, i look forward to hearing from you!

@@rome8180 very cool, my shop is off of Sacramento. Yes it is and they have given me the clear!
4:35 "National Anthem" by Radiohead. Such a perfect riff to showcase this bass
Wow what a beautiful tone on these bad boys!

Great sounding bass! Brings P bass sound into beautiful fidelity.
Jake, very nice! That is a beautiful bass!
Thanks Rafi!
Another great job Jake!
Continued success bro!
I love this Bass. I'd want a maple finger board with Darkstar pickup

Thanks Keith! Good call on the knobs!
i don't see new tortoise that looks good very often. you must get yours somewhere special. the tortoise on my Sacramento is so nice.

What a great sound and look.
YOU DID IT AGAIN!!COOL
Shape and pickup reminds me a lot of Guild B301
A+ nice work!
Awesome...do you offer a Maple Fingerboard??
Now that's cool. Do you offer a Maple Fingerboard???
Solelova67 yes I do!
that 6:40 slap backness
I need this in my life! Can you order a gloss finish on the neck?

Sustain on a bass guitar is overrated.
@@Zekla Not for heavy rock or metal.

Sounds great with all the efx. Some bases don't
BASEWOOD!!!!!!
Did somebody say "bass wood"?😁
By the way, when are you going to update the website to include this bass in your quote section?
The Armitage quote section will hopefully be live by the end of the week!
I take it back, it's up now! You can be the first to use it!
Serek Basses Oh I definitely have. Will there be an option for a burst finish on this particular model?

Which effects are you using all throughout this video?
mister irwin they're listed in the video description
What's that catchy riff at 6:30?
bflo1000 Nobody Told Me - John Lennon. I believe Tony Levin played bass on this track.
Aha! Now I remember it. Been YEARS since I've heard it!
Love it! we you £200 ? 😁
Cool bass- but you should have just played the full "Bullet in your head" riff. ;)
Delicious
Can't tell this apart from a P Bass hahaha, it's ridiculous how close the sound is.
