    Please do more videos about the ACA exams at pwc! I will be enrolled at the pwc graduate programme 2021 and I have no clue how to prepare for it right now.

      Zetch I joined last September as a graduate. When it comes to college & work they teach you from the very basics again so don’t worry about not knowing anything on day 1. If you’re joining PwC and really want to get a head start, might be worth looking into alteryx and tableau. They’re absolutely rinsing it atm lol

      @@zetch972 Thank you! I'm graduating in 2021. I originally applied for the 6-week audit program for PwC but because of COVID-19, it got postponed into the graduate programme for 2021. How about you?

    • @adderleydezigns
      @adderleydezigns 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can do any degree - Accounting and Finance is technically the most relevant but doesn’t necessarily give you an advantage when applying for training roles. Pick a degree that you will enjoy and that you thing you would do well at (I am currently training at a Big4 firm and I did a law degree). You should try to get as much experience through internships at chartered accountancy firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, RSM, Mazars etc.) and apply for a graduate training role once you have graduated. You can specialise in either Audit/Assurance or Tax whilst studying for the ACA/ACCA.

      @@adderleydezigns I am only 16 isn't it true in the UK you need to do basic level of accounting for 4 years AAT. And then get a part time job and gain experience and then get ACCA

    • @adderleydezigns
      @adderleydezigns 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Someone M - No, you do not need to do the AAT qualification to train as a chartered accountant in the UK. You just need an undergraduate degree of some kind or you can join as a school leaver at age 18 after completing A-Levels

    Hi Paul, thanks for the video. Do you have any tips on how to pass the professional level exams (currently doing FAR, AA and TC). I know everyone says question practice but I’m still highly worried, especially with the time pressure. Any tips? Thanks!

    • @mrps8541
      @mrps8541 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, I did FAR (89) and AA(83) last December, then TC(87) and FM (79) this March, and honestly question practise and time management is the most important! Exams are quite time pressured so practice in time limits! Hope this helps :)

      @@ollieking31Well, I am from the UK and both ACA and ACCA are governed in the UK. ACA is generally preferred by BIG 4 and some of the more prestigious accounting practices, but it doesn't mean that ACCA is worse by any means. ACCA is just a different charter and gives the same powers as ACA, both qualifications are well recognised and sought after.

      @@nissangharti1615 It will differ from firm to firm but not massively. It’s mainly due to the high cost of resits as that cost will build up over the 3 years and become an un-needed burden for the firm. Also, if an employee is taking 2 tries every exam, the firm may see them as a “not so good” fit for the role in the future. Despite this, some firm a may be more lenient which could make what you’ve heard true. Stay safe
