Sir,a couple of doubts regarding q at 1:05:01. 1.Can we do it by considering it as ray incident on interface of two media.Since,to apply snell's law for refraction at interface of 2 media, the r.i should remain uniform along the interface surface,we will have to consider the interface as horizontal making i=90.Now,above ray r.i is more. So,we can either consider ray as trying to go from denser(upper) to rarer(lower) medium but undergoing TIR as i=90 which is always greater than Critical angle. So,ray moves up. OR We can consider ray to be grazingly incident from rarer(lower) medium. Hence,it emerges at CA in upper medium. 2.But,as ray would move up r.i would increase continuously. How can it move in straight line???? 3.What if r.i is not a linear function of height(nothing mentioned about how exactly it depends on h).I guess then we can't have planar WF of upward ray...What to do then????

1:04:00 Doesn't the answer depend upon whether light is being treated like a ray or wave? Because yaha agar ek hi ray hoti light ki, to vo ek uniform n ke medium me chal rhi hoti, and refraction hota hi nhi, seedhe chalti chali jaati... similarly we can say infinite such rays are going through this medium...
speed= c/n where n is the refractice index hence in the denser medium the refractive index is more therefore the speed of light will be lesser whereas in the rarer medium the light will travel faster hope it helps
