+CornishCreamtea07 oh yea, i remember now. i was hearing about it on some of the special features on the dvds of his other movies. supposedly they still have it all saved and can finish it but idk if that will ever happen

+BobSamurai Anime Reviews The founder of Madhosue and Mappa, Masao Maruyama said finishing Dream Machine is one of the things he wants to do before he dies. So is animating Naoki Urasawa’s manga Pluto and if possible the rest of Naoki's works.
The reason they dont finish it is because the difficulty finding a talent similar to Satoshi's, in words of Masao Maruyama, they will do it probably, but they dont want to rush it

Totally wish this book had a reprint. Just noticed you did a video of Satoshi Kon's art book for the first time which is a huge shame the price of the book is now high in 2022.

One of my favorite directors of anime, when i read his letter before his dies, i fucking crying for inside that we lost to someone who could be made more masterpieces like the one that left us.
Imagine the movies or series that we could be have if he was alive, R.I.P the great satoshi kon my respect for this men.

Funny, I just re-watched Paprika before this video came out.
The Dream Machine is his "would be" final film as it was the one he was working on when he passed.

Sadly I only saw one of Kon's works (Paranoia Agent), and I was too young to understand it. Though I plan on watching more of his works in the future.

You know, you could use some stand and make this video instantly more watchable.
Satoshi Kon was an assistant for Katsuhiro Otomo (the creator of AKIRA) so his work at times may seem similar.

I really love the SAO design works series those are some amazing books i love the landscapes I also love the most recent naruto artbook that just came out... I know the overrated series...but the art in these books just blows my mind
I own opus and seraphim wings(both manga) both are amazing stories, but both stories are unfinished :-(
