As lovely and sweet as Frida sounded on the previous track (Bumblebee), as feisty and rocky she sounds on this one. Love them both! She's got such a wonderful voice (still). They both do, by the way. And I love how you can hear that they're no longer used to speak/sing in English. The Swedish accent so much stronger now. But that is endearing as well. Yes, this one's very much about a woman who tends to freak out, stomp her feet, hissing like a wild cat when she should be purring. No doubt about it. But she also tries to reassure her suffering husband, who sighs and says that all other couples they know are able to compromise, that she knows he's a good man and that he worries about her but that he shouldn't because she can make amends, so this isn't where it ends. No doubt about that either. What's not to love...!
Waiting so many years for this magical, joyous music, it is so wonderful to watch someone else rock out! I struggle to claim favourites, but this song is top 3 on the new album. ❤
Hello again Matt 🙂 Thanks for another Saturday ABBA double, i can't believe that we have reached the end of your ABBA journey (well nearly) only one more track to review from the "Voyage" album 😢. The final track will really suprise you 😮, a complete shift in music style, but loved the world over by all us ABBA fans. Thank You Matt for this incredible journey that has given all us fans from the early years alot of joy and brought back so many memories 🥴🤗, we look forward to your reactions to Frida's and Agnetha solo album. 🇬🇧💚🤪
Their were 12 songs written. Two songs were not finished and left off of this Album. When this whole Avatar idea came out ABBA decided to write and record two new songs for the Voyage Concert play list. Because of the delay due to covid and enjoying themselves so much working together again, they decided to make a whole Album. They are now in talks about opening another arena in another country. If that happens, will the two un released songs be used to open the show? That's my guess. This isn't were it ends.
First comment here!!! Thanks for doing my sugestion the two songs with Frida in leads at the same day! as you did with Agnetha last week "No doubt about it" I will use the title of the song to make my comment There really is 'no doubt about it', that even in their 70's Frida and Agnetha can sing, and they can sing well, and they can even rock like here It is fascinating what they have achieved, one of the great surprises of the album "Voyage" Frida's voice in her solos is beautiful, especially in the soft bridges and the choirs with Agnetha are powerful A great track, to remind us the ABBA rockers did like "Hole in your soul" or "On and on and on" Thanks for another great video I send you my best wishes from Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America
I love this track with Frida letting loose her loud voice. Lines like "Hissing like a wildcat, when I should be purring" is fun. Although I sometimes think the "I take the blame" could be just for the sake of the relationship & a little tactical.
This is another Frida fronted song and I feel that it showcase her ability to sing an uptempo tune she still sound great definitely. If you are looking for some of Frida's best past solo works, I would recommend the followings: 1. Aven En Blomma 1996 2. The Sun Will Shine Again 2003 3. There's Something Going On 1983/4
The drive in this track is amazing, and it knocks spots off Just A Notion. The ending is great, so positive... and, placed where it is, a bit of a joke. Love it! :D
For the ones that aren't satisfied by the song's small duration here's a large dish with the banjo sound more extented in this mix. th-cam.com/video/mI_hRnaeO9I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fPYLe3ONA_-7IZPW
One of the understandable differences between the old and new is how the girls voices have gone from the front of the mix to somewhat at the back of the mix especially when they sing together. It's one of the compromises that is inevitable with natural vocal deterioration. It then becomes a personal choice of whether you think it was worth doing or leaving things as they were.
My only reservation with this one is that it sounds a bit muddy. I don't know if it's the mixing but it lacks clarity and sounds too busy. Otherwise I really like it, the lyric is great, about a woman who thrives on drama and who can't help pushing situations to the extreme, but self aware enough to realise it. For me it connects to the character in Head Over Heels.
I think it's ok.'For me same thing you described stands for 'Just a Notion', and the choral part in the chorus of ICBTW and also 'Faith'. 'Faith' in dolby atmos is far better.
A lot of the vocals are recessed in the mix especially when they sing together. i just think it's to disguise deficiencies in the vocals. Frida can sing low chesty tones whilst Agnetha can sing in the higher lighter register, but both can no longer 'belt' which gave the sound a solid foundation at the front of the mix. Without it, they disguise it by burying it somewhat in the mix and giving it a muddy/murky sound. Same with the chorus bits in I Still have Faith In You.

I like this rousing rocker, its energetic pulse carries the bitter sweet message of" this is who i am" jealousies and all.
Waiting so many years for this magical, joyous music, it is so wonderful to watch someone else rock out! I struggle to claim favourites, but this song is top 3 on the new album. ❤
They can still rock n roll. Age is just a number. Beautiful.
Abbasolutly 🎉❤
One of my favourites on the album. ❤

❤️🇨🇱👍
Beautiful voice for a 76 year old woman
One of my favourites!
One of my favourites on the album. Great dance track and the ending is fabulous. You can really here Frida stretch those notes on this track.

Love your anticipation of the songs then re-acceding them..❤
Cheers, appreciate the comments you've been leaving! ABBA forever. :)
One of my favs on the Voyage LP. In line with the more familiar upbeat, energetic, pop rock hits in their catalogue.
This is another Frida fronted song and I feel that it showcase her ability to sing an uptempo tune she still sound great definitely.

The bass at the beginning of the verses reminds me of "Elaine" somehow. Fantastic song!!
A very energetic song.

Agnetha’s new song is out!

This song is so short!!!!!!!! :(
