Alan Watts was either a prophet or a time traveler!

Alan Watts was a legend and learned a big deal of how i think today growing up with his words🐣
There is a point made in the original seminar, which is quite important to mention.
That is - the notion of 'privacy'.
The notion that we all have something private that should remain hidden - that should not be revealed.
Watts equates this notion of privacy to wickedness.
Essentially that privacy and wickedness are the same thing.
This is quite important.
Also, he mentions, that for the dynamic of - everyone being able to read each other's thoughts - it is essential that this applies to Everyone.
There can not be a 'Controller' - as in the novel 1984 - where there is a 'Big Brother' exempt from having THEIR thoughts available for reading.
Because that would be the foundation of Tyranny.
So Watts is saying - - Relax, Stop trying to endlessly defend yourself, endlessly justify yourself or condemn yourself.
Be open and accept yourself.
Every nuance of yourself.
And, in doing so, understand yourself.
In understanding yourself you will understand others.
Because at root we are all One.
But - - this requires the hard work of removing our subjective and insular perceptions.

And that is the crux of the whole matter.
Because those 'insular perceptions' are, in essence, the EGO.
It is dissolving the ego that is the thrust of everything Watts talks about.
You can't 'purposely' remove the insular perceptions - because that act of 'purposely doing something' is an act of the Ego.
Because the Ego, (Selfishness), is saying "I will be a better person if I remove my insular perceptions", which is, of course, an act of self concern.
Watts says it is when you come the absolute end of your tether, when you absolutely give up searching, when all your ulterior motives end, (AND DO SO NATURALLY), that a peculiar trick can take place - that you can Observe your thoughts and feelings without an Ego doing the analysing.
In other words - all the opinions and conditioning of the ego - which get in the way of clarity, quieten down.
AND THAT IS IT.

Alan watts is correct. Before language was developed the human species relied on "inner communication", telepathy and more. This instant knowingness would explain the mysteries of our ancient achievements. Some of these ancient achievements still stand today, thousands if years later as a testimony to our distant past understanding. IF IF IF this species doesn't self destruct within the next century or so, the current "human" species will evolve into something much more.
Yes everyone is the same and people still don't get that either it's why you don't see people help people who are less fortunate as they aren't brave and are wrapped in their own worries.
