In Eevee, the emission itself does not cast light onto other objects so you would need additional lights such as point lights or area lights inside and around the lantern. That is why I had a point light inside and lights around. This is different in cycles where an emission does cast light.
And of course you can increase the emission strength. You could also add two glare nodes in the compositor. But mostly it would be the point light or lights inside and around the lantern (again, using Eevee as opposed to cycles).

How you decide not to go with glass material and only transparent?
Just because this is how I wanted to do it. You could definitely do a glass material that you choose :)
