Leaving a comment here because comments are off on the Lafferty Fort video. I’m a Lafferty descendant and I’d love to chat with you about what you know about the fort. I enjoyed the video and the name Dixon/Dickinson rang a bell, too with my Lafferty, Stewart, Elliott and Haddon families in the Cowpasture/Tygart Valley.
It's great hearing from you! Sorry about the comments being turned off on that other video. I'm trying to think of a good way to give you my email address without the whole world seeing it. I would love to have this conversation. If you are on Facebook, you could try friending me there, and send a Messenger message.
Theres a revolutionary soldier buried in sinking creek cemetery near the cundiff square town spring if you feel like coming back sometime. I live here locally in somerset ky and have been to a ton of cemeteries and this is the only one I've seen with a revolutionary soldier buried in it.
Somerset is a good place to live and visit! Did you visit on Sunday? I ask because the square is usually busy all the other days. There are many things you didn't see that I believe would interest you.
