I know this is late but im sure it will help others as well. I believe the bait is what we call Garfish, or what you guys call Ballyhoo i think. Where they are fishing, it has hardly been fished and using a wire infront of the hook wont affect hookup rates in this kind of fishing and will also maximise profits, eliminating the risk of losing tackle. Finally, i believe the line they are using is a lead rope. Plenty of weight in it to get the baiit down to the required depth.
