Yes, it would have been interresting to take a look inside, but it’s protected by camera’s. I have been in the Hengelo powerplant which my father had installed the cables on during his apprenticeship in the 60’s. In the late 90’s It was already shut down and a classmate knew the owner who gave us a tour of the place. That powerplant was rather small and served as a backup. It was demolished around 2005. The large plant at Zwolle served a part of the east of the netherlands. Some other old coal plants have been shut down in the country as well. Oddly, the government has built a new coal plant but I doubt it won’t be in use for so many years.
