For me it gives me feelings of looking back in the past and then moving on to the present/future
one of the few people that manage to capture that 80's-90's essence, a rarity in the majority of the indie music producers, really good
Look up the bands The Midnight and Gunship as well. For The Midnight, id look up Bend or maybe Sunset or Lost and Found.
For gunship I would look up Pink Mist Tech Noir or When You Grow Up Your Heart Dies for a start.

I have never been to Chicago, and somehow I feel nostalgic about this. In different cities ages ago, with people I never thought I would lose contact, having feelings hard to explain back then and hard to explain even now too. Man, what a song

As someone from Chicago, I’m mad I didn’t realize that’s what that was 😅
I thought it was a turkey-esque thing.
Being away from home in the big city, alone at home without dinner or warmth, it hits you how lonely and far you are from home. It was a sacrifice to leave home to find better opportunities, and you wonder how life would've been if you never left. There is a sense of melancholy reminiscing the life you had, and mourning the person you could've been, but it is what it is. Keep moving forward towards your dreams.
