This just goes to show how uneducated we, Filipinos, are with regards to our own culture. @@DongYTTV Respectfully, as far I know, Pangalay does have definite movements because each hand movement has an established meaning. The most common hand movements in Pangalay I believe depict the waves, sea weeds, and birds, among many others. Pangalay is also soothing, almost hypnotic, and modest. That's why their dance is wrong because it doesn't even follow the basic characteristics of the Pangalay dance. Although the children are not to be blamed since they were not given many material to learn from, but I just find it very unfortunate na Pilipino mismo, yet we don't even know how to properly perform our different cultural dances. I just hope that the children were informed how their performance was pleasing, yes, but NOT THE PANGALAY DANCE, or else they will grow up believing that this is exactly how to dance the Pangalay. We have got to stop misinforming ourselves and the next generation.
