Mellat Museum of Sa’dabad Complex in Tehran is also known as the white palace due to the white color of its facade. The palace is the biggest in this complex. Mellat Museum or the White Palace consists of 54 different units and were used for different purposes. Subtle plasterworks inside the palace beautifully show the workmanship of Iranian artists. The facade was inspired by the architecture from Rome and has four tall columns on the four sides and four big windows around the central ceiling. Professional painters of Iran painted eye catching pictures about Shahnameh stories and they covered the windows on the first floor with them. The big halls of the palace were decorated according to the French styles and carpeted with perfectly woven Iranian carpets. The walls are all covered with high quality silk and satin and make a fantastic view.
موزه ملت مجموعه سعدآباد تهران به دلیل رنگ سفید نمای آن به کاخ سفید نیز معروف است. این کاخ بزرگترین مکان در این مجموعه است. موزه ملت یا کاخ سفید از 54 واحد مختلف تشکیل شده است و برای اهداف مختلف مورد استفاده قرار می گرفت. گچ بری های ظریف داخل کاخ به زیبایی هنر هنرمندان ایرانی را نشان می دهد. نما از معماری روم الهام گرفته شده و دارای چهار ستون بلند در چهار طرف و چهار پنجره بزرگ در اطراف سقف مرکزی است. نقاشان حرفه ای ایران تصاویری چشم نوازی از داستان های شاهنامه در آن کشیدند و پنجره های طبقه اول را با آن پوشاندند. تالارهای بزرگ کاخ به سبک فرانسوی تزیین شده و با فرش های کاملا ایرانی فرش شده است. دیوارها همه با ابریشم و ساتن مرغوب پوشانده شده اند و منظره ای فوق العاده ایجاد می کنند.
این کاخ در سال ۱۳۱۰ شمسی به دستور رضاشاه در مدت پنج سال ساخته شد. در سال 1340 و پس از گذشت سی سال عمارت مرمت شد و چهره امروزین خود را یافت. در این بازسازی که به دستور فرح پهلوی انجام شد، زیرزمین و گلخانه تبدیل به موزه هنری و سینما با صندلی‌های چرم فرانسوی شد؛ آسانسور و سیستم سرمایشی و گرمایشی مناسب در آن نصب شد و شیشه‌های طبقه همکف با شیشه‌های ضدگلوله تعویض شد.
This palace was built in 1310 by order of Reza Shah in five years. In 1340, after thirty years, the mansion was restored and found its present face. In this renovation, which was done by order of Farah Pahlavi, the basement and greenhouse became an art museum and cinema with French leather seats; An elevator and a suitable cooling and heating system were installed in it, and the windows on the ground floor were replaced with bulletproof windows.
