Hey, Charlie. That "The Three Stooges" NES game has a pretty awesome best ending, if you get enough money. Check it out, in this playthrough! th-cam.com/video/T8-rvW4BZM8/w-d-xo.html
The music playing on the title screen, before the 3 Stooges enter, is Mysterioso Pizzicato, a variation of which was used as the Boss battle theme in a *Good* NES game; Wizards & Warriors
@@MynameisCharlie: White blob that transforms into lots of different things?? Discount The Shmoo from that one Flintstones series where Fred & Barney are cops!!!

It's actually more than respectable. it's pretty good. Tried to stay close to the comic story and the bosses and levels had some variety in them. If you get the chance to play it, I say go for it.
Yeah True Lies is very fun but very difficult and it can be repetetive and some levels take a long time to finish. I played on the Sega Genesis version, but it's excatly the same game as the SNES version. PS i'm stuck at the Subway level.
LJN never actually made games. They were a publisher. I think AVGN is credited for this misinformation being so widespread (though it was likely unintentional). LJN would usually buy the rights to a franchise, and hire a developer to make the game for them. Several of their more infamous games were made by Rare and Atlus, who later became some of the biggest names in gaming! Maximum Carnage though was made by Software Creations, who really had a mediocre to poor track record, including Silver Surfer and Wolverine on NES, plus Blaster Master 2 on Genesis, and Carmageddon 64. I think most people consider Max. Carnage to be their peak of success.
In my opinion, it's always still counted. Because LJN are still the publisher with the final say and like a director, they still have the final word, and they are the ones responsible for not enforcing quality control or actually looking at, or maintaining standards for the games they produce. So when the games turn out bad, it's still LJN's fault. They choose the developer, they oversee the developer as well as their progress, and it's them that are in charge of the decisions that shape the state of the game in the end. Also AVGN's number one criticism has always been that they pick and acquire movie licenses and their licenses in general, and they don't care about quality, and that's still 100% on them and their fault as well. So I still think he's right. Plus, every other person in the world still gives companies like Capcom and Konami shit for the overall state of their product and their business and give them bad reputations by name as well, so I think he's well within his right if everyone else is, too.
Bubsy 3D, the stuff of nightmares, I remember years ago when me and my niece rented this game and I was like, what in the holy fuck are we playing, it looked more like a beta tested game.
I can't believe they released this game in this stage, but to be honest, i'm glad they did, it's got quite a cult following, it's so bad, it's unique, their is nothing quite like it, making it a bad game, but a good sort of bad game, 🤔
Actualy you can say bethesda's history is the bizzaro version of LJN. Bethesda released good titles, but then they turned to shit. LJN released shit titles, but then they turned to good
there's a good spiderman game on the earlier sega systems, not a masterpiece but still decent. I forget the name but it was ported to the master system mega drive (genesis) and mega CD (the best of the 3)

13:03 I just noticed he's holding it with his thumb right over the LJN logo here. Clever bastard XD.
LJN making a good game is like EA not using their games as Cash cows
I know, It's shocking, 😆

Yeah, I've got to give it a try, most likely on a Emulator 😁
Be careful, Nintendo is very protective of their games.
True Lies from SNES also is a LJN game and it's decent, a little hard, but enjoyable
LJN Must had been the largest movie based game makers in history, dear god, 😭

Along with “Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage” and “T&C Surf Designs”, those are pretty darn good LJN games.
LJN Made a good game is still shocking to hear
I know, I'm speechless, I'm still in shock, 😲
LJN’s one good game
I'm still in a state of shock 😲
The game for the Spider-Man Fox Kids cartoon was decent too.
And it’s red.

Thanks for the correction, thankfully, I think james talks about this, a little, in the beetlejuice episode 👌

I agree with you on that and the current Bubsy game looks pretty good.
the fact that LJN had a tragic backstory of what happened is sad, but the fact that a DECENT game they made kinda raises their reputation....NOT
They did one good game. Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage. Shocking. 😲
@@MynameisCharlie yeah...
I always find that scream in The Three Stooges hilarious!
A decent game from LJN? What's next? Bethesda releasing a game that's actually finished?

LGN making a good game is like saying Data Design Interactive is going back in business.
if they made a good movie licensed game for once I would be in shocked even more since they tend to fuck it up every time.

@@YTWarrior100 that's right, thanks for the jolt to my memory.
LJN pulled off a miracle?!
LJN making a good game
I Never Thought I’d See The DAY!,
We've been through hell, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. 😩
At least LJN has one good game as part of their legacy.
LJN made a game not shit. But only one.
God, i'll take anything good from LJN at this point, This will do, 😊👍
Wait till you see the 12 days of Shitsmas
They have a few others. They also made the Spider-Man game based on the Fox Kids cartoon that was alright.
I made it to 3:10. Did he ever react?
Oh boy, You found my old videos, :S
ITS NOT SHIT!

Jeroen Both It’s a Christmas Miracle lol
They also made a few WWF licensed wrestling games that weren't bad, either. They were average and mediocre for the time, maybe but not bad.
