I would add that the lid is designed to facilitate the collection of the remaining beads. It needs to be taken off when using it for beading.

Hi love. You can use both needles. Just pay attention to the direction the beads are spinning. The switch should let you go forward or in Reverse depending on how you position your needle. Hope this helps.

You are absolutely right. The switch allows you to select it to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.

I have the same machine and the old needle you have do work u just got the beads spinning in the wrong direction!

The string is supposed to go through the loop on the needle and you anchor it at the end

Just tie a knot like your tieing your shoelace but with no hoop/bunnie ears so just a regular knot on the needle

Can you use elastic string for the beads?

Yes you can, they have elastic string for beads but just be sure the beads are bigger than the elastic

I know this is old, pull one end of the thread through the loop of the needle like you are going to sew something, it still will be doubled when you pull the beads down the string , I hope I am explaining myself right lol
