1987 was an interesting year for Transformers. You have the Headmasters, Targetmasters, a Double Spy, Clones, two giant robot bases, Duocons, Throttlebots, Monsterbots, Horrorcons, Terrorcons, and Technobots, and don't forget Sixshot. They were full of gimmicks, whether if be incognitos, transforming weapons, transforming heads, multiple alt-modes, two vehicles combining into one robot, etc.
The level of detail in the animation is insane almost worthy of an Emmy in the short subject category. My favorite is the bit of that Duocon just tossing Rodimus aside.
Prime92 better yet hand them a RiD 2001 Galvatron and watch their heads explode at 11 alt modes Or better yet hand them over a ROTF Mixmaster or ROTF Arcee

Different companies did the animation AKOM, a South Korean Animation company did most of Season 3, while Toei did the commercial animations and most of the actual cartoon

2:39 half of that Duocon is an ARO 10 off-road 4wd!!! Aro from campulunc, Romanian car maker... They had a factory in Italy until 1993. Really, that TWO IN ONE car Half resembles the ARO 10...
Well it did had some BATTLE BEASTS but it wasn't with our transformers though it was in the transformers VICTORY in Japan I guess but they did had some cool details back in 80s when I was born
Funny that the commercials animation is much better than the one from the cartoon specially from the horrible animated season 3 & 4, courtesy from AKOM
