Merv, I like your style. The kind of gentleman that takes his time, yet still gets there fast. Keep on keepin' on!
I just found this channel and I love it.
Is like grandpa is teaching us the lesson's of the day
Thanks for watching!
I've been trying to change them on my 2014 Toyota Camry but idk where they're located
Man I'm glad I found you, working on cars is expensive by shop and learning to do it myself is waaaah cheaper. I'd rather learn from a poppa on TH-cam than pay 300+ for all of these repairs my poor girl needs
ha loved the video editing. good content!!!
listen closely @5:21 "have you ever seen the green mile?" WHILE CONNECTING THE BATTERY !! hahaha
Our channel definitely requires more observant viewers like you. Thanks for watching and please be sure to share! Glad you enjoyed it. -Merv Himself
One of the best videos on TH-cam. We'll done
Marv show replacing the injectors on a Toyota sienna 3. Litter 6 cylinder the intake is in the Way.
Thank you for entertaining 😂 and informative video! I appreciate the small added tips!
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for the great video and tips, isn't it important to add some lubricant or Vaseline to the O-rings before installing them? Thanks again
Use gasoline for o ring lubrication. At least that's what Scotty killmer recommends.
Anything else, like silicone or transmission fluid, will clog the sensors or Warp the o-ring.
@@alexxander7289Don't give out bad advice. Silicone grease is intended for rubber o-rings. This info is all over the internet. Therefore it will not warp the darn o-ring. It's better than gasoline because gasoline is so thin it barely lubricates, but it works better than nothing. Scotty was simply giving you the info the owner's manual says.
One if the best vehicle maintenance channels out there. Thanks!
How to remove the wiring from the fuel injectors?
My son changed his injectors on a 2002 Toyota Hilux but yes now idiling really rough. Any ideas or tips?
REAAAALLLLY rough? Are the electric connectors put on in the correct order?
Great video, thanks for sharing! Quick question, should the o-rings be lubed with gasoline or some other lubricant before reinstalling?
Great question and I'm afraid you're going to hate the answer. But I would check to see what the fuel injector manufacturer suggests. Most manufacturers will probably tell you to go with some kind of silicone grease.
Yep, Ive heard everything from gas to a light coat of silicone grease
Man it is so hard to match my country style and make me laugh or even comment. You are awesome in a can of beans!
Glad you enjoyed it. Happy Holidays! -Merv

I already did when you make a video try to get a more difficult one please. I know it's what you got. Thank you
Hey my Nissan has a fault the computer saying multiple misfire could this be a injector issue ?and yea it’s bucking like a bull
It most definitely could be. I've seen them get finicky when colder weather kicks in, too.
So my 2005 2.8L CTS has a problem accelerating at cold starts.
When i turn it on...
- I step the gas pedal and it will accelerate very slowly, it wont go past 15mph.
- But then i shut it off, start it, it goes 15mph again slowly.
- I shut it off, and start it again and then it runs perfect. Everytime!
Do you know what the problem could be?
Weird issue. I'm pinning your post in hopes someone from our loyal legion of followers might have a suggestion.
Thx. From Germany. Funny and well done.
Safety Tip: When installing the fuel injectors into the fuel rail, I highly, STRONGLY recommend a very, very light coat of SILICONE grease (use a cue-tip) on the upper 0-ring and halfway into the fuel rail opening. (Do not use petroleum-based oil or grease that may eat the 0-rings!) FYI: my official factory repair manual says you can lube the 0-rings with gasoline. Wrong! DO NOT! Gasoline is way too THIN to lube correctly -- you'll likely damage the 0-ring and have a dangerous fuel leak. That injector needs to slide into the fuel rail nice and easy, and spin freely without binding.
---> Use a very, very light coat silicone grease. You'll be happy you did.
Thanks for joining the conversation, Nicholas. And welcome to the Mervolution! Please be sure to turn on those notifications. Demille is working on another humdinger of a video.
@@MervsServiceSecrets could you help me with my 02 lexus es300 either the fuel injector pump or relay is bad please help me diagnose it i would turn the key it wants to start but wont come so its getting spark my lights work and im wondering what it is. If i tap the gas pump it almost started but Shut off spark plugs are clean and it seem like its not getting gas i smell gas sometimes in my car when i start it. (When it did start) it wont anymore and now all i get is the battery no engine movement.
@@rushofw.g.m2755 , I can't pretend to be an expert on this, especially something as deadly as gasoline, but you might want to check into a gizmo called a "Fuel Damper". I know of someone who had one go bad once. As always, don't take my word as gospel, do your research from a variety of sources. Maybe even check out the Lexus forum. Best of luck. Please report back and tell us how you finally solve it. We are all here to learn and share. -Merv Himself

This video had me cracking up 😂😂
This guys a legend lmao 🤣 mad my morning
what if it leaks?
Be careful if you decide to attempt fuel injector replacement or any major car repair. Do your research, read a lot, and collect as much information as you can from a variety of professionals, not just this video. Leaky injectors are not to be taken lightly. Thanks, Phun. I dig the @Banshee_Moon channel, but I've heard Farm Girl has a thing for me. I'd hate to string her along.

Hi, I ordered a bunch of fuel injectors, but they didn't seem to come with a MIRV- Jr....so just wondering how I go about getting around that step in the instructions so I don't accidentally get my dick stuck in the throttle body or something?
(Thanks a bunch for the video though, need to refurb 6 injectors in my Mk4 supra and could only find videos about putting in obsence injectors with new rails and voice recognition detonation etc...)
