Instead of using this to determine where to add weight, you can use this to correct your shock preload. In full scale cars this is called "corner balancing". On your car I can see that the front left or right rear have too much preload, you can adjust one and it will affect all four corners if I recall correctly
You beat me to it. Adjust the preload (by turning shock collars) up or down to get the weight balance as close to possible, front to back, side to side and cross weights. By the way, you need to DISCONNECT your swaybars when checking corner weights as they often can affect preload.
Came here to make this exact post. The corner weighting from the front right to rear left could easily be evened out, and balanced. I guess Ryan now has a follow-up video to make. 😉
interesting. i think many of the stock drivers will be interested in this product, but since I just drive mod. I´m pretty much just eyeballing that haha. but still a great product idea
For anyone wondering, Gforce is just a rebrand of SkyRC for the japanese market.
I figured!
to do this right you should level out a setup board every time you use it to get repeatable results. you should also use setup wheels or discs, again repeatability. you want to disconnect the sway bars and adjust the shock preload to adjust the corner weights. after the corner weights are set, adjust the sway bar links so that you can connect them with no preload on the suspension. to add conerweight , add shock preload. to reduce cornerweight, reduce preload. you need to watch ride height by adjust all the corners slightly to get the weight and ride height correct
Oh boy. I've had this in my shopping cart for a while now. You just reminded me why it ended up there in the first place. Thanks for sharing the review Ryan.
In Germany this is called Skyrc corner weight system.
I got it some months ago and i love it!
Pretty slick man! I'm a sucker for things like this, can't wait for the next one!
Your car has cross tweak so you really cannot tell if you need more weight left to right at the moment. Fix your cross tweak with your springs first! This is key to a really well setup car
Always wanted my cars to be perfectly balanced.... as all things should be...
Nice review and videography as always!
have a great weekend over there!
I’d think they call it the Air, because it’s wireless. I could see that as truly effective when racing ovals as you’d want to have one side far more heavy than the other, but other than shock adjustments and rear end burnouts, for $100, I would spend it on something different. It could definitely be useful to the right racer
Will help your rig to drive so level and consistent.
thats awsome is there a larger one for my 1/5 losi five b
Almost bought one but was thinking if I use this and get weight setup then use my setup station and was thinking it would change my weigh set up So I helt off on buy. I definitely know the feeling of wanting to get new stuff out in hope of going faster
Oh nice! This would definitely get some use on my touring car! And maybe the buggies too, haha.
That is so cool good luck to the winner!!
thats a really cool stuff no more wire
nice video ryan keep up the great work
Really cool gadget, thanks for the video on it. It looks really helpful
This looks like a great tool but it would have been nice to see the accuracy of the scales and even the consistency between each pad.
I have been looking at that, would be perfect for my 21.5 car
I just bought myself 4 el cheapo scales from ebay, I think I paid like 35usd but this is cool and it does some nice calculations for you. Realistically though I only really want to know the left to right difference. I can calculate the bias with just some simple maths.... But yeah this is cool, I kinda wish I knew about it earlier
Now I am going to need one of these!
what spare parts do you bring to races
Please review the Cowrc Jet Blaster Turbo. Since I also run on outdoor low bite It has been a long time debate if I should get one. Great video! I didn't know this existed and now want one.
I’ve seen those! Might have to try that out!
This is the DEFINITION of things that are REALLY COOL but I sure as hell DON'T NEED IT
so then you DO need it 😏
How should the vehicle weight be distributed for the 2wd model?
Each scale needs to be calibrated with the same weight, didi you do that?
I was like ah I need one until I saw the price tag holly shit
Amazing 🤩
that's very cool man
Man.....I will tell you what: I'm just getting back into the sport after 25ish years and wow...things have changed! There is so much more technology and adjustability. I don't know if it is cool or overwhelming?
Same here man - I am a year in and soaking it all up. Enjoy!
HAHAHA I always have that problem :)
Sounds interesting
That's cool
Yes........ almost EVERY rc car I see!
Love it!
Hey the link for your setups isnt showing up properly an error pops up
Had a problem with them. Quick call got it rectified.
Awesome video
I have to have this!!!
Great video
The snake in the background approves!
Cool gadget.
I clicked so fast
I could never bring myself to drop the coin on a set of scales... always wanted them though.
$175 now on Amazon
X meaning "cross" weight.
I need this! Just like my $200 rc bag and $160 track membership I gotta buy tomorrow
Buy buy buy
I kinda want to make a Thanos joke "perfectly balanced".
That would be perfect
You're late, I already did it! :D
NEED IT! lol
Could I just buy four small food scales?
Yes, however the cool thing about this is the app does the math for you in real time, which is just extra cool factor!
Checking for my free stuff. I have never missed a vid. Thanks for the winning equipment. Ha ha no really thanks
Given away yet??? Please consider this upcoming newb/pro 🙏
Paid $120 for mine
Remember God loves you
I need one so bad.
That whole calibrate with a 2kg weight is such a crock of crap though, like who has an exact 2kg item or sets of items? 😂
$200 cdn after shipping....yikes 🤯
$100 bill would be easy to part with but Amazon feels tacking on another $75 would be more...... ?unnecessary item in my rc world of tools...
Giving it away to you patrons is not fair 😭
Not every one is an adult with a 💳
lmao
Giving back to those who support me is all!
