This was the first Gaslight video I ever saw because the link was posted on Bruce's website. 9 months later they're one of my favorite bands and I gotta give credit to The Boss for turning me on to them.
All I want for Christmas is this. I've seen Bruce live several times (5) live in the Netherlands and he is magic..................... Compliments for Gaslight Anthem.....................
I would've loved to have been there I was at Hyde Park in 2009 when Bruce did The 59 Sound with The Gaslight Anthem, it was the first time I heard them it was brilliant. My 2 favourite artists
Seeing Bruce Springsteen for the first time at sunderland in June, no word of a lie my life will be complete if Gaslight Anthem could be the support act!
@Littledevil05 nice one... the crowd energy is incredible.... they were singing so loud you can't even hear bruce's vocals and barely hear Brians at times. thanks for grabbing this. I've yet to see gaslight (heard great things about them) but they are now on my must see bucket list :)
bought tickets presale and again day of sale to get GA... was too sick to travel.... so sad to see that I missed another great high energy show.... and Bruce.... ~sigh~ Thanks for posting this Ryan!
Awesome video (and killer audio!), Ryan! It was an amazing show. I was disappointed in the number of people who left as soon as Bruce was done. There's something wrong with buying up tickets, pushing scalping prices insanely high just so you can say you saw Bruce. A lot of people who wanted to go but couldn't get tickets. Bruce came out to support a band that he respects, to see a number of people disrespect them by bailing as soon as he's gone is sad. Love Bruce, but this was a gaslight show.
Bruce looks properly made up to the there! He knew all the words. I guess it's a New Jersey thing. He really cared about that band, because they're carrying on his legacy.
Great video! Thanks for the capture and post. I was there too and you are literally only feet away from where I was standing based on the position of the video. INCREDIBLE night. I've seen nearly 150 bands live and this was the most amazing concert experience I've ever had. This is one of those nights you will be telling people about for years and always smile knowing you were a part of it.
AWESOME video. I was at the show too, but my video was pretty shaky, and I couldn't help but sing during recording. Thanks for a crystal clear memory of this night, one which nobody in attendance will forget. Ever.
@Littledevil05 Thanks for sharing this vid Ryan... As a Bruce fan for my 40 years it's great to see him again with TGA. First show I saw of Bruce was Sydney, Born in the USA tour of 85. I was 14, an experience that has never left me.
Feels like I must add my name to the list of lucky souls to have been there for this. standing not too far from where this was filmed. Hair raising experience. Whistling at 3:20 sounds a lot like me
AWESOME! Was such a great show last night and don't worry about it being shaky at all - with mine, you need to take motion sickness meds! You're right, the house went nuts! Sooo much fun!
holy shit amazing video, looks like an awesome gig too. saw ga last year in dublin and they took the roof off the place, seen the boss loads of times, going again in july, won't be the same without the big man
@McGillickKevin That was me!!! I got yelled at twice for trying to film videos, which wouldn't have been that great seeing is how I was in the pit and there was no way I was going to be able to stand still. I flipped the guy off and told him he needed to get his panties out of a bunch and calm down!
@Littledevil05 i'm up to 120 shows/appearances since 1972. but the real bulk of them came after 78 tour and beyond. I may know one other kid who's younger than you here in Jersey that's a couple of years younger than you I think that will give you a run for that 20 show thing. but it's all good :)... hey lookies... your video is now up to over 50K views :) great job on getting this and getting it up online here :)
@thejoshblogtumblr Actually he may have been a Bruce fan subconsciously in the womb as our mother is a huge Bruce fan as well and played lots of Bruce while she was pregnant with him.
It's awesome that he's there and singing along, but you can't hear him at all. That's actually pretty typical at a Gaslight show - the crowd sings along with pretty much every line.
The crowd!! Belting out the entire lyrics so loud the band is drowned out!! Amazing
I almost blew off work to go this show, but then I thought, "Nah, I should be responsible."
The lesson is: never be responsible.
You always pay the cost for The Boss
The crowd is fantastic!
Given the circumstances, you couldn't ask for a better video. Thanks for making this a present to lots of people.
This was the first Gaslight video I ever saw because the link was posted on Bruce's website. 9 months later they're one of my favorite bands and I gotta give credit to The Boss for turning me on to them.
i can feel the energy from this show through my screen
i feel like a proud parent! my favorite band is SERIOUSLY getting places!
YOu can see what a cool, humble, happy guy Bruce is. Also could tell how much joy he gets in playing music.
That was great nite in asbury i was there with my brother and roger place was buzzing
All I want for Christmas is this. I've seen Bruce live several times (5) live in the Netherlands and he is magic..................... Compliments for Gaslight Anthem.....................
What a feeling that must be having the boss belt out one of your tunes!!
this was one of the best birthday presents I ever had
I would've loved to have been there I was at Hyde Park in 2009 when Bruce did The 59 Sound with The Gaslight Anthem, it was the first time I heard them it was brilliant. My 2 favourite artists
Being from NJ and a huge Gaslight and Bruce fan I wish I could have been there. It must of been unreal.
Seeing Bruce Springsteen for the first time at sunderland in June, no word of a lie my life will be complete if Gaslight Anthem could be the support act!
Such a great moment when he came onstage! It took an already great show to a whole new level. I'm so glad I was there, I'll never forget that.
@Littledevil05 nice one... the crowd energy is incredible.... they were singing so loud you can't even hear bruce's vocals and barely hear Brians at times. thanks for grabbing this. I've yet to see gaslight (heard great things about them) but they are now on my must see bucket list :)
OK, Bruce Springsteen comes out and still the audience drowns out both him and the band. How amazing is that?
I've never been more jealous of anything in my life!
Thanks for the vid.
bought tickets presale and again day of sale to get GA... was too sick to travel.... so sad to see that I missed another great high energy show.... and Bruce.... ~sigh~ Thanks for posting this Ryan!

Gas light are great!! Bruce is a Beast.. I love him so much!!!
Definitely one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced in my life! I have been seeing shows in Asbury for years waiting for this to happen.
Bruce comes out and the roof is blown off!
Well, I think the only people that give a damn about Gaslight Anthem are Springsteen fans.
wow. You can feel the energy from the crowd.
Bruce looks properly made up to the there! He knew all the words. I guess it's a New Jersey thing. He really cared about that band, because they're carrying on his legacy.
I live in Queensland Australia and I feel I could of hear it here sitting on my verandah ❤
OMFG - Convention Hall in Asbury Park is still Shaking, Today...Totally Awesome - Without Question!
Great video! Thanks for the capture and post. I was there too and you are literally only feet away from where I was standing based on the position of the video. INCREDIBLE night. Absolutely phenomenal video and performance...as my buddy said when he saw it this morning...Who the f*?! needs coffee when you've got this?
Es gibt Künstler !!! Und es gibt bruce👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
The crowd 😍
When the crowd is louder than the fucking punk band, you know something special is happening. This is a perfect recording.
This is awesome. The crowd is loud and awesome. Awesome.
Right about 4:40, you see something. It’s almost like a passing of a torch, and it’s beautiful.
Need this now!
This song makes so much more sense seeing Springsteen doing it..
Feels like I must add my name to the list of lucky souls to have been there for this. standing not too far from where this was filmed. Hair raising experience. Whistling at 3:20 sounds a lot like me
Classic!I now have hope for the future of rock and roll

@kineticvalleys Yeah. We were fucking pumped up.
If this is from Asbury Park 12/9/11, I was there. hahaha
Rolling Stone Magazine just linked this video on their webpage.
@KleWdSide what a ridiculous question. Come back in 35 years and then a comparison can be made.
@McGillickKevin hilarious! Were you standing behind me?

Great stuff, man. Very jealous. Hope you don't mind that we used it on a website I write for (I gave you props, of course).
