Okay, here me out. I'm from Detroit, the midwest, and a seasoned woman. I noticed the increased usage of "female" over the years since the 70's. Many people don't use it because it's a word that was a kind of police jargon. A word used by law enforcement to describe women in the most basic, and often, dehumanizing way. And then, it seemed over into regular usage in our communities. Any living being can be a female, but only humans can be women, girls, ladies, etc.
I’m from the South. I’ve heard men use the term “female” when they are talking about women in a derogatory way. I’ve yet to hear it in a positive way outside of this podcast. I don’t ever hear people refer to men as “male”. The use of male and female seems so clinical and textbook. I’ve also been concerned ,like Tank, the way people use the “b” word for women like it’s nothing.
From my understanding, I don’t like when men use “female” because they do mean bitch. And also I don’t like the fact that female is women being reduced to her sexual organs. A female is a being that can produce eggs and bear off spring. When men who say female are disrespectful I’m like “a female spider, a female dog?” Like what do you mean. I don’t feel a type of way when y’all say it because I know you mean well. But in the dating world for me if a man says female and I know the undertones, it’s an immediate no
In reference to the use of "female" instead of woman or lady: I don't automatically assume that anyone who uses it has ill intent or inherently doesn't actually respect women. However, in my experience, it is very seldom used by men with positive intent. It is often used by men (especially online/podcasts) who are misogynistic or berating or insulting or dehumanizing women. Even men who use it regularly in conversation typically use it to reference women who they don't know, care about, or respect (the same men often switch to using woman or lady if they are talking about a relative or person they admire/respect). I also find it off-putting when people refer to adult women as "girls" *if* they always refer to adult men as men or other terms denoting adulthood (instead of calling them "boys"). However, with any of these terms, I do take into account context, the person's usual way of speaking or attitude towards women, and regional or cultural norms. Just because it bothers me doesn't mean that the person in question intended any harm.
Lmao, not Goose yelling for Mel to grab the girls & save themselves, cause his foot was sleep 🤣😂 we glad you didn't wake up dead tho, lmao!! Tank: "kids are creepy" yes they are! My son walks in the room & just stands over me, whispering (so he doesn't wake his dad) & I jump up like what's wrong, what happened---then his dad, jumps up the same way....and he says something off the wall like, do we have batteries, my controller is about to die 😫 whew, lol!!
I only see "females" as derogatory if that same person refused to say "males". "Female" is a scientific term. Many people who refer to us as "females" while males are still referred to as "men". So they get to be associated with their humanity while we get to be associated with our scientific label and I do find that dehumanizing depending on context.
For the "female" thing, I've heard it as if it is a situation that you would say female but would not say male if it was a guy then it is inappropriate. Greg's merch table example would be a good one. You could say, "this female came and took our stuff", but saying "this male came and took our stuff" sounds a little out of place because you're more likely to address him as guy/man/dude/etc.
I’m the same way about headaches! I’ve had a headache for weeks and then my ears started to pop all the time like I’m on an airplane. My mom told me to take some medicine but I never get headaches and obviously this is a deeper sign. So I’m going to the doctor on Monday
Not to be gross but if you're backed up and haven't made a deposit to the toilet ministry in some days, it can cause headaches because of the toxins being released in your body.
Male or female is to identify gender. When you say he is male or she is female that is the correct use. In our communities we tend to use the gender description instead of saying woman or girl.
1. The baby mama dude already made another video saying he only recently heard about a vasectomy and even when he did find out what it’s all about, he’s not doing it. He just doesn’t want any accountability forreal. 2. As far as female, I’m on the east coast near DC and Im not gonna lie, it makes me feel a certain way sometimes. I have definitely heard people use female as a derogatory term to put women down. It depends on the context, tone, and intention, but I’ve definitely heard it used as a negative. It’s almost like being nice nasty with someone and in some ways taking away their humanness and lumping them into a category with animals and other scientific things. I don’t know if that makes sense, but that’s usually how it’s intended.
@Marcus, I just experienced the same issue with a headache. I took pain meds for 3 days, then my mom and husband were worried. I too, am not prone to headaches. Went to doc and was prescribed antibiotics for 4 days for a sinus infection. Still no relief and was actually taking pain meds along with the antibiotic. Now doc prescribed stronger antibiotics for 7 days and that did the trick. Before the diagnosis, I was like I need blood work done, CAT scan and a MRI. Yall gonna tell me something!
In most CS cases if a man is Named the father and he does not show up for the court date which may include a DNA then he is defaulted as father and now legally responsible
I feel this young man's "friends" will watch him blow his life and dream opportunity up because they don't have what he has and may want to see him lose. All your friends, ain't really your friends. He has to suffer the consequences and the blame will go to him by association to whatever goes down. There are too many stories in sports of making it BIG and blowing your win up and losing it all. He gonna learn. it's just a matter of time, if he lives long enough to do so.
Yes a dead skunk or a skunk that sprays close to your house it will take over your house. It’s the worst! We’ve had to leave the house a couple times because of how badly it took over the house.
Great content today. Glad you didn't wake up dead Goolzby🙏🏽 Great advice to the young dumb millionaires. Marcus you and Angel have different perspectives on the topic. She partying and encouraging the shenanigans on Here’s the thing lol. Knowing Angel she probably played devils advocate for the joke. 🤭Also I wish we never heard about 7 baby mama Dude. Yes unfortunately Female or Chic or Dude in Brooklyn New York, where I'm from, in most and particular context is considered negative. Fam is good and safe Tank. Blessings Gentlemen✨
Some men will lie and not tell you they have kids. Very easy to be baby momma number 8 when he ain’t claiming any of them. I just keep to myself. Ain’t even worth it.
Ayyyeee my husband made me go get my CCW license (we live in Las Vegas) in the class the instructor asked “You hear a burglar enter your house at 2am. What do you do?” I said I’m pulling the trigger, aiming center mass. He said then you would be going to jail for murder. The law in Vegas is you have to announce “Stop! I have a gun and I’m gonna shot!” You have to give a variation of telling them to stop and warning them. If they choose to leave you have to let them. I said why would I announce that I want them to be just as surprised as I am! He said well make sure you don’t ever tell the police that you meant to shot someone EVEN IN SELF DEFENSE! He said your gun should be your last resort and that is why a lot of people get time behind “self defense.” I’m like Tank tho with every lil sound my hand be on that handle😂😂😂😂
The female thing is mostly bout context and intention to me. I’m not offended if someone calls me what I am. I do get that male isn’t used the same or as often but we also say ladies and gentlemen instead of gentlewomen and gentlemen so I see it more of an evolution of language. It’s also common to say man and wife instead of husband and wife or man and woman during a wedding ceremony.
Imagine going through all those lengths to contribute nothing for a child you helped create while the woman as to be the sole financial and emotional support for a child. The world needs to be thankful they don’t abandon their responsibilities to their children like some men do because their would be a lot of kids begging in the streets and suffering.
The whole world just needs to be thrown away! Goose’s story was funny but man the younger generation on social media have no morals and don’t feel ashamed about there actions. They really don’t have any self esteem and don’t care about anyone🤷🏽♀️ I agree with you re the word female nothing derogatory about that. I’m in my 40’s too.
Saying Female strips a person of their humanity. Females come in all different species. Female dog, female cow. We always make sure to give men their humanity.
Exactly. Sure how he's moving defeats his goals, but if he's actually saying all this before doing the do, then he's not wrong. He's just not learning from his mistakes.
I'm from Atlanta, and women are not cool with female being used in conversation like that. I can decipher a man's intent by his character and how he uses it but my ears perk up when its used. For Greg, someone from Atlanta could easily tell from how he talks and carries himself that he is not being disrespectful. However, that does not negate the fact that some men only use the term when they want to make generalizations. Think about it like this. You know how some women say n-words ain't spit. Sometimes we would use female to describe a girl we didn't know literally that female over there but in essence thot. So yeah language is impacted by the culture that uses it.
How old were the people from the west coast and NY? Could the"female" thing have been an age thing? I'm from the west coast, born and raised, and I never heard of the negativity surrounding the word 'female' til now. But I'm 42, so maybe I'm just not aware of this new slang, which is 100% possible. #nocap #riz Lol.
Here's the thing, have a conversation and be transparent is important. Also, once he had sex with someone and know he's fully loaded? You made your choice already
Female isn’t solely a regional thing it’s a generational thing as well. Only people 40 and older seem to struggle with understating why female has a negative connotation. No one uses “male” as descriptor for men. But when it comes to WOMEN we are constantly labeled as females and it’s meant to be derogatory. You all aren’t getting it because you don’t want to. In the same sentence people will say men then turn around and say female. There’s nothing respectful a/b that. Female is used scientifically to describe a certain species. When referring to humans in your regular everyday conversation it’s unnecessary to classify us as females.
The female things is regional and also generational too. I’m younger generations female tends to be used in a derogatory manner. Not just as a replacement for the b word but generally when used it’s followed by some misogynistic mess.
The female argument is particular because it can be really relative. Female is reducing the person down the to just their gender, it’s a degrading of the woman. Women don’t go around saying “oh these males” no but y’all females this and that no no. Where I am from Miami fl it is def a degradation, I’m not just a female anything. I’m a female person. I’m a female human ie I’m a woman. I have argued this topic down, with my homegirls and homeboys they think nothing of it until it’s explained. So why not say women if you are talking about a woman? Why female? Female what? The whole thing is dumb 😅🤷🏾♀️
I learned something new I'm from the South as well and never 🤔 someone was derogatory if referring to me as female which I am 😂. Just my opinion I 🤔 some women have gotten so comfortable and ok being called bit$$ by men and men comfortable saying it, that female feels like to them has a lesser value. My opinion 🤷🏽♀️
Men use "female" in a negative way all the time. The question is simple, are they saying "male" when they refer to their male friends, or is it "men" and "females?" It's the same argument in wedding vows that say "man and wife," and why vows have evolved. Why is the woman reduced to a role in the vows? So, when talking about the sexes, why is the man not reduced to his reproductive organs, but women are? It can absolutely come off misogynistic, even if that is not the intent. I don't refer to other women as females, unless i'm talking about science, or want to make a clear distinction between the sexes. The terms "woman" and "man" for me encompass more than science. It's lived experience, it's perception in the world, it's a lot of things that are not solely about sex organs. So, I've never been a fan of women being called "female" especially because I've never heard a man say, "that male" or "those males." I think people know this though, and many are being purposely obtuse.
I think female is more of a belittling thing before one gets to calling someone a B. Like on some you little girl type stuff as women would say to knock a young lady so the female talk is men slang I believe. Don't quote me.
It’s not the word but the context and tone. So I have no problem with the word female. For example, stupid. That word could mean funny, silly, goofy, etc., OR dumb, uneducated, ignorant, etc. Depending on the context and tone. From the midwest here. 👋🏽
Using female to describe an unnamed girl, lady, or woman just makes the speaker sound stupid. It doesn't equate to b**ch for me but it still sounds like a negative dig at them.
That “female” thing is sorta weird because we grew up learning that. But, there is something about it really referring to a beast. For humans, we should just day woman or man. Its a better representation legally and lawfully. 😅
Okay, here me out. I'm from Detroit, the midwest, and a seasoned woman. I noticed the increased usage of "female" over the years since the 70's. Saying Female strips a person of their humanity. Females come in all different species. Female dog, female cow. We always make sure to give men their humanity.

Using female to describe an unnamed girl, lady, or woman just makes the speaker sound stupid. It doesn't equate to b**ch for me but it still sounds like a negative dig at them.
Listen 'Woke up dead' is the funniest blackism because how the hell you wake up if you dead? But we understand it
That “female” thing is sorta weird because we grew up learning that. But, there is something about it really referring to a beast. For humans, we should just day woman or man. Its a better representation legally and lawfully. 😅
