Notice when he was asked how he prepares his sermons, he said “I” figure out what “I” want to talk about. Most pastors will pray first and ask God what HE wants me to preach about.

Joel is not comfortable being interviewed. He is not able to Express himself on the spur of the moment. He is humble and knows to keep guard on his flesh. He and his staff pray for wisdom to put God first.

He is giving sugar instead of teaching the truth in love and when the world loves you don’t rejoice because the world hated Jesus why would they love you. I pray that God touches his heart and reveals himself to Him, because that’s a lot of souls that will be lost if he doesn’t share the truth along with the encouragement.

He’s for “everybody?” I know Jesus didn’t discriminate and that he ate with sinners, but he also taught those who continued to live in darkness to move away from darkness and into light. Jesus is the light, and he taught by example.

Bro. Joel's sermons helped me so much when I was sick, & it looked like I wasn't going to make it. I had been a Christian for a long time. I used to think it was my job to tear down other Christians because they were different than me. That kind of critical Christianity won't help you when you when you're critically sick & not expected to live. Only a message of love will rescue you. Joel's sermons helped me pull thru. 8 yrs. later, I well & healthy. Joel's sermons helped me to love other Christians. Now, I'm ashamed of attacking other Christians. I thought I knew it all, but I was a fool. I'll always love bro. Joel.

If you know the Bible, Joel basis what he says on scripture. In his books he list all the scriptures which back up the things he writes about.
Why are people hating on him ? He tries his best to help people by motivating them and obviously nobody knows the answers to all questions. What I appreciate is that he is more open minded and inclusive than other pastors I know.
You answered your own question. He's a motivational speaker, not a pastor. Jesus Christ was not open-minded and inclusive. His message was not inviting. He said "I am God, I am the truth. Repent and follow Me or you will perish in the lake of fire." Being God, He knew more than anyone how dire the situation was. He preached true repentance. Joel Osteen does not. That's why he is so despised by true born-again Christians.

I love Joel Osteens ministry he brings me to tears a lot and melts my icey heart at times. An example of a person using their full potential. Anybody else who thinks otherwise, perhaps it's your duty to fill the void. We are all pieces to a greater puzzle in this world, no one person can correct it, but if each individual using their talents and reaching their potential towards a great cause, we would get there. It doesn't mean he's not for revivals, he simply means he's not into conducting revivals. He's a pastor, that means his job is more of ministering to people who are already saved, who had already been revived, to keep them in their walk with God. God appoints some people like Billy Graham to be evangelists to bring in those who are unsaved through revivals while He appoints some to be pastors to care for those who are already saved

Joel preaches to an audience who wants to hear what they want to hear and that's what he feeds off of. He doesn't want to offend anybody so his teachings are based on happiness and reaching your dreams; he needs to touch more on subjects that hit hard and hit home.

I don’t think so. However, you can have all the “faith” & “hope” in the earth BUT without Jesus, it’s nothing. In this interview Joel rarely gave God the credit God unequivocally deserves. Joel took credit for most of his success. That’s just not Biblical.

Where is the conviction, where is Hellfire preaching, where is the preaching against false doctrine, where is the guts, where is the single Glory To God? With Joel, there is NONE. His wife, Victoria, has been involved in punching a stewardess on a plane. She is quite mean and holds her head very high. Joel has charisma. However, during a heavy storm he did not open the doors of his church to help survivors.

I watched Joel Osteen the whole 2015 through to 2016... and his sermons became synonymous and routine...same message, live right, have a right attitude...be happy, be a good human being.. that's it. You won't get nothing apart from that.. whether religious or not.

So, all of you so "clever" and judgmental Christians, go first to study God's Word and humble yourself before Him to be able to understand His heart for us. In the Bible, Paul mentions a number of gifts that Christians might possess and one of them is, "if you have the gift to encourage others, be encouraging" (Romans 12:8)
And Joel Osteen's messages are very encouraging. And his messages are based on the Bible. So is it possible that her isn't a false teacher, but instead a Christian with the gift of being able to encourage others?

At 12:38 Joel Osteen declares that he never doubts his faith. That statement alone would disqualify him from any intelligent discussion of religion. Doubt is one of our most valuable assets in this world and acts as a light in areas of uncertainty.
If faith is given to us by Christ and we are saved by grace through that faith how can we doubt our faith. That means doubting Christ. I can never do that.
