- Leonardo DiCaprio joined Magic's Green Room to talk about his new film The Revenant.
He told us how he was very pleased with his 12 Academy Award nominations, how he felt eating the raw food during filming, that awkward moment with Lady GaGa at the Golden Globes and his love for cinema.

went to watch this today and it was just insane from beginning to end ..what an outstanding performance by Leo and the bear scene was just crazy .. the Revenant deserves every award nominated for it ..just bloody fantastic

I've watched all of the nominees except for some of the animated nominees. However I do believe that Revenant should WIN awards for best picture, best director, best actor, best cinematography, and maybe best visual effects (bear scene)..
I was also bummed out that Carol didn't got nominated for best picture. And they totally snubbed Sorkin's screenplay for Steve Jobs.
The Rain Man revenant is big and loud..thats all..mad max, spotlight and the big short are far better than revenant...cinematograhy is good and it deserves oscar and actor because leo is snubbed so many time he has to get and mind you not because of his performance in this movie in any way...fassbender>>leo and eddie redmayne>>leo..director george miller>>innaritu...even picture also this is very bland movie..i dont think it will win...poetic is word used by leo in interviews..there is no poetry in the movie

and i guess that's where we will disagree. Cinematically speaking, Revenant moved me in ways where Birdman couln't (I loved Birdman btw). All in all I think this year's Best picture competition won't be competitive unlike last year. Last year you had Birdman, Whiplash, Selma, Theory of Everything, Boyhood, etc. This year only Revenant or Spotlight is going to win Best Picture in my honest opinion.
The Rain Man revenant has 80% on rotten tomatoes..if it wins it will be the lowest rated best picture winner ever....innaritu is not american and academy usually do not like giving oscar to non americans two times in a row...TBH dream sequences in movie felt very forced...there is a review on rotten tomatoes thats up on 20th jan by "Glenn Dunks" read it..that guy breaks it down sooo well..you need to come out of the fanboy bubble you are in...this movie is no masterpiece...they shot in difficult conditions....thats the only good thing...everyone is talking about leo oscar for 2 reasons 1)he never won before 2)he says in interviews he suffered a lot.......thats all..its marketing.....spot light is a movie most people think is good...but its against religion and is for pedophiles s its little creepy to win oscar....

Leo has been my favorite actor ever since I first saw him in The Basketball Diaries. I knew Leo was one of the best actors around right after I saw him act that long realistic scene of him craving drugs going into heavy withdrawal in The Basketball Diaries. I knew right there and then that this guy was going to have an incredible career. Then a couple of years later... Titanic, and you all know the rest.
Such a great film not to mention with leo being in it made my night(hes my faviourite) such an emotional film that educates😬☺️
He will win this year for sure !!!
