  • I just got the Zoia Euroburo. I have had it racked for a few weeks and it seems a bit scare to get going. I have watched others patching on their device and when they do it seems easy but I get lost like they are just clicking buttons. So after I watched their videos and read a bit of the manual I wanted to document how easy making the first patch with the zoia really is.
‪@RedMeansRecording‬ did a video on the Zoia Euroburo a few years ago when it was brand new. I don't know how he knows everything about all this modular gear but he is awesome. Here is his video:

Zoia feels endless once you get signals into the box.

The only limit I have run into in my limited time with it was in my current patch I just tried setting up a midi signal to an oscillator with a few effects. It worked BUT there was no polyphony. So I could probably do multiple oscillators to get polyphony but I won’t be able to play a chord on my controller and have a single oscillator play it. (Unless you know how)

@@allweatherhaulage You need multiple oscillators yes and set the midi note in module to have multiple outputs.

@@edjwise interesting. So if I played two notes on my keyboard it would send each to the two separate oscillators? Or are you suggesting offsetting one oscillator by a third? I’m going to have to play with this! Thanks for the info!

@@allweatherhaulage FYI this is how polyphony works in any synth, one oscillator can only do one frequency at a time.

@@Getthenderson Really? I understood that to be the case on analog synths but I just figured there was just some behind the scene magic on digital ones. Thanks for this comment it gave me some interesting ideas.
