Thanks! Very helpful review. You're the first reviewer to admit this is basically just a MIDI controller--although I think the now current version might have some built-in samples (website says Hamberg D and few other samples now included). Keys look like they are just synth-keys (spring loaded plastic) with a little bit of added velocity sensitivity? I think you did say in the review, these are not hammer weighted keys. Also, I believe it's 87 keys, not 88? I see 3 keys on the first module, and each octave is only 12 keys so the last "c" is missing since I'm sure it didn't make sense to create one octave module with an additional "c" key as their last module (or it was lower cost and not a frequently used key).

Please, make a review video of piano de voyage. I want to buy a portable piano keyboard but I don’t know which one is the best. Thank you for your honest opinion.

Looks AMAZING! And if my favorite pianist, Jordan Rudess, endorses it, I know it HAS to be good! Oh, wait, it isn’t ACTUALLY “available” for sale. There is no pricing or ordering information whatsoever on the web site. I needed this “yesterday”… Oh, wait, it’s not actually all-encompassed in a “backpack”, because you have to have external devices to use it. And the worst; you have to sync it with an external sound source; something as janky as GARAGE BAND to even make any sound! Not even one single little practice piano sound chip internally to practice or compose with! I have to use, at a minimum, a sketchy Apple product, such as an iPhone that, at any time Apple wants to, the company will render the device obsolete and non-functional, due to an inevitable iOS update or similar, which will then suddenly and without warning rob me of my ability to use this instrument. And then they’re going to tell me I have to use DONGLES OR ADAPTERS TO CONNECT TO AN APPLE DEVICE IF I WANT TO USE SPEAKERS! I don’t think so, guys! That blew it for me right there! They had my money, but apparently they aren’t actually selling the instrument right now, and if its usage depends on an Apple product that has INTENTIONALLY BUILT-IN ENGINEERED OBSOLESCENCE, I’ll have NO part of it. Somebody please prove me wrong! Tell me it has at least one internal piano tone, or that at least something OTHER than an Apple or Android product or an external phone, tablet, or computer of any kind can be used to generate tones; and WITHOUT THE INEVITABLE BLUETOOTH OR OTHER CONNECTIVITY *TIME LAG*. It presently appears that’s not the case. I am a PRO pianist; a FULL TIME WORKING MUSICIAN. I don’t need gimmicky toys. I need REAL PROFESSIONAL INSTRUMENTS… They “had me at hello”, but then LOST me at “Apple” (or any third-party device)… 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😞😞😞

wow i’ve been wondering if it was velocity touch sensitive, it actually is! This is great for a pianist who travels, or wants to play in the park

Good review....i totally....agree when you see...it's not enough compatible with other tools....
When you see the expensive price .....
But the magnetic Idea...and the possibility to reduce the lenght of the piano is fine....
    Thanks for your work....
    Eric from Paris...😃😄

Went to website and they want over $1400 USD for this. Am I reading that correct?

We just received the latest Android compatible versions, this month (October 2021). We would be happy to send you one! The unit can be used with both iOS and Android, although iOS has the Ravenscroft 275 piano app, for a very competitive (low) price, and GarageBand (free). 🎹 - Total Piano Care
