Khuvsgul Lake is known as Asian Switzerland and the Asian Blue pearl. it is one of the most popular destinations for those who love traveling to grassland-forest and lake areas. Only 11% of the land area is covered with forest. The Khuvsgul Lake is located in the northwest of Mongolia near the Russian border. The town of Hatgal is at the southern end of the lake. It is the second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia and holds almost 70% of Mongolia's fresh water and 2% of the world's freshwater. Also, Khuvsgul Lake is surrounded by an amazing taiga forest that you can experience.

To enjoy the lake's wide horizon, hiking to the higher points among the shorelines is the best choice. Many peaks such as Chuchuu and Jankhai which are elevated no higher than 2420m are the fitting routes for full-day hiking for nature lovers.
