25 years of AFI for me. I will be 40 this year and I still love them. This makes me feel 15 again.
Damn near 30 for me and like a couple others I've followed not many its nice to see them still going... One other band I can think of is Killing Joke that has remade themselves so many times.. Been a fan of theirs for over 30 Fuck when did we get old

@@tylerskiss nah I was just hoping they woulda did it that way so they could have toured for the album later that way cause of covid but it being released June 11th works as well it’s just very emotionally depressing we can’t tour for it
I'll admit I've had a hard time loving most modern AFI stuff, but this is a really really fun song. Big 80s spirit to it, maybe Duran Duran or something with an AFI twist? I'll take it!

I agree sing the sorrow and everything before that is their best work but it’s hard to top that material I don’t think anything they make can beat that older stuff it’s just too good

A lot of people dog out their “NEW” Sound. It’s not their new sound. Don’t compare them to when they first came out and were kids . These are grow men still rocking their ass’s off . Perfect sound!! As someone who cites Black Sails, AoD, and StS as my favorite AFI albums ever, I really love the direction Davey and the band have been going. While the albums I mentioned are amazing and pure poetry, it really feels like the guys are having a lot of fun creating their art these days. From Dreamcar to Blaqk Audio to new AFI, there's been a lot of really fun, upbeat songs with catchy lyrics. Keep it up, guys!
Just wanted to add, I think it's a result of them evolving and (ironically) maturing as artists. Some of their newer lyrics don't seem to take themselves as seriously, and seem super specific, whereas lyrics from older albums, while beautiful and poetic, were sometimes very broad and abstract.
@@iStarlyTV I agree with this to an extent, I still think modern aft lyrics are pure poetry! The likes of twisted tongues and begging for trouble, they are poetic its just not the STS era abstract poetry

I hate to be that guy but this song is just "ok"
I remember being a kid in the '90s and hearing the song third season by AFI and loved that song till this day as a grown man with a wife and two kids. Having learned quite a few songs on bass by AFI I'm still a fan of even their new stuff everybody changes and everybody involves even in their music. They take a lot of heat because of the fact that it's not punk nor screamo or alternative but nonetheless I love this stuff and will forever be a fan of the stuff they put out. Their music is like fine wine 🍷 it gets better with age!

When AFI out Weezer’s, Weezer.... Been an AFI fan for over 20 years, and I love how they keep transforming and changing. People cry about how it “doesn’t sound like their old stuff”.... that “old stuff” is still there! It doesn’t ruin anything.... nothing can take those old songs/albums away from you, they’re yours forever! Black Sails is my favorite album, but I do enjoy everything they put out.
