Thank you. It’s a great pattern, and will look great on a lot of people. But I think it’s important that we allow ourselves to have preferences and not feel like we have to make/wear something that we just don’t feel comfortable in.
Thank you for your honest review Kim. Not every pattern is for everyone. I have plans to make the long version for an upcoming cruise. I’m glad you mentioned checking the finished measurements before choosing your size. The knit I selected has a beautiful drape but is more on the medium weight side. I will definitely take that into consideration for length and size.
I completely agree that this would make a great dress or top for a special occasion. I considered it, but it just doesn't work well with the time of life I am in. I will be starting a job as a lead preschool teacher in the fall (I was the assistant teacher) and it just isn't practical. Maybe for church, but I just didn't need it right now. My mom wore a RTW shirt just like this to church today and it looked so nice on her. I am glad you are back! BTW, I love those lights like you have above your cutting table. I have one above mine and my son has two in our large shed for his wood working. I am looking for one with a fan for the other light (not over my cutting table) in our bedroom/sewing room/office. Thanks for your honest review!
Hi Kim, like you, I love the neckline on other people but not on myself. I have gone way past talking myself into current trends and accept it is not right for everyone. I have a large collection of Love Notion patterns that I consider more flattering for me. Do you mind me asking me what pattern you are wearing in this video? It is so very flattering on you and the fabric and colours are amazing on you. Have a great sewing week.
Hi, Kim, The neckline looks great on you, but I'm thinking the color may not be bright enough for you! I'm not a fan of the neckline for myself and always think a v-neckline is my favorite style. I never wear a boat neckline or something tight around my neck. Just my observations over 70 plus years! Love your channel and hope you are doing okay after mentioning you had surgery. Thanks for all you do for the sewing community.
Thanks for your review and your honesty. Sometimes I become skeptical over some patterns because everyone posts their Ooohs and Aaaahs about a pattern and then talk about all of the adjustments they had to do to make it fit. I haven't bought it, and now I am certain that I won't. I'm retired. My mind says for me it's a little too Ooh La La for everyday wear. I'm good with a plain old classic Tee with some really good fabric. I have seen some of the makes on their website, and for sure, it doesn't make me jump. However, I did think exactly as you did that it would look fabulous with the low back option for a dressy occasion just like you said in black.
You can trust my reviews. I generally post a lot of positive reviews, but I generally don’t review things I don’t like. I guess my parents engrained in me that if I can’t say anything good don’t say anything. But, this one really is a great pattern. It’s just that the style isn’t for me. But I agree with you. There’s a lot of oohs and aahs and not a whole lot of picking things apart. If I think of pattern is worth telling you about, I usually like it. But, if there are things I think you should watch out for, adjust or things that perhaps a certain segment of you guys might not like I will tell you always. Thank you so much.
Funny you talk about Rayon Spandex. I watched a video by Karina Trinidad just this afternoon where she claimed she just won't buy/use Rayon Spandex anymore. One of her claims was that the garment she made looked horrible within a year, which she then used for pajamas because she wouldn't wear it outside anymore.
I’ve had a few that looked pretty horrible, but the fabric is so nice otherwise, and it’s great as long as you care for it properly. Thank you for watching!
I think you’re making a mistake by turning away from this pattern. The style is lovely on you. Try a jewel tone knit print to set off your hair and some pretty jewelry and it will surprise you! 6/9/24
China manufactures more fabrics and textiles than any country in the world so no matter what quality you're buying, or think you're buying, it's likely coming from China. 😊 I've never sewn that neckline, but agree it would look great on a gown. I would not opt for the dress because of the elasticated waist. Love Notions should offer more woven garments. Their size range is so inclusive and their drafting and instructions are excellent. If they had a larger selection of woven garments, I bet they'd be popular.
It looks really nice on you. I think the drape gave it interest and softened the look.
Oh dear! It looks GREAT on you, I'm sorry you are not comfortable in it. Happy to know you are your own woman and not negatively influencing others. ♥

That neckline is absolutely beautiful on you💕
Thank you! I actually like how it looks, I just don’t like that. I want to fiddle with it all the time.

Congrats on your new job!
Thank you! I am excited for a new beginning!

I am wearing the Bondi Tee from Sinclair with one of the Puff Sleeve add-ons. I love that pattern!
Did you do a full bust on the Bondi? I want to try it. What fabric is your chorus dress made from?
@@dorothysdaughtersews thanks Kim
Thanks for your comments about Rayon Spandex and online fabric stores for knits.
Thank you!
Thanks, Kim. This was a very helpful, very honest review. Appreciate you!!
Thank you. It’s a great pattern- I generally don’t review bad ones. I just don’t like it for me.

The shirt you are wearing in the video is gorgeous. Which pattern is that? Everyday T?

The style looks good on you but you must do your thing.
Thank you! I don’t mind how it looks. I just always feel like I have to fidget, LOL
